How to make a shoe rack with your own hands. Shoe cabinet: location, varieties, proper use in design (96 photos)

Here, I’m sharing my impressions of making a folding shoe rack for the hallway. I purchased the accessories for 50 rubles. per set. But I had to tinker with the rest... I'll tell you the story of its creation.

The mechanism of folding shoe racks is new to me, so I immediately went to the Internet to look for additive diagrams (looking ahead, I will say that I still found a normal additive, but this was after the product was manufactured, and therefore this will be covered in a separate article). We weren't able to dig up anything particularly meaningful. First I found this diagram. And I was happy...

But I still had a problem with the calculations, so the search continued and I found this file" " . Here I completely relaxed and, rubbing my hands, did not compare both of these schemes. He stupidly took the dimensions, put together a design based on them, adjusted the dimensions to the required room and sent them to cutting. As practice has shown, I got excited.

I’ll immediately make a reservation that in the posted project, as well as in the detailing, the dimensions have already been corrected.

Project details attached

Part name Length Edge Width Edge Qty
Retractable facade 16 mm 156 = = 464 = = 1
Folding facade 16 mm 371 = = 464 = = 2
16 mm post 940 - - 292 2
drawer front/back 16 mm 98 410 - - 2
drawer side 16 mm 98 250 - - 2
Tsar 16 mm 468 = = 120 1
Horizons 16 mm 500 - - 292 = = 2
Detail under the fronts 16 mm 468 - - 23 1
shoe rack 10 mm 453 = = 86 2
shoe rack 10 mm 453 = = 136 4
Drawer bottom fiberboard 442 250 1
fiberboard back wall 484 956 1

The edge used is 0.4 mm. If you change by 2 mm, you will definitely need to narrow the facades.
The back wall is made “In the groove”, if you are going to make an invoice, you need to expand it in each direction by 16 mm.

So, the parts are sawed and piled up. We select the racks from them and begin the additive. Most important point. There is no way to make a mistake here, because closing 20 mm holes later will be problematic. We start marking from the lower front corner of the rack. According to the filler pattern, I marked the hole for the axle.

23 mm is a part under the facade so that the mechanism does not rest against the bottom. 7 mm - gap. Another 7 mm is an empirical value that is on the diagram, but its size is not labeled. I took 2 mm from the diagram, 44 was obtained by adding 28 mm from the diagram to the thickness of the facade of 16 mm.

In the resulting location, I drilled a 20 mm blind hole with a depth of 10-12 mm.

We press a plastic insert element into this hole.

We mark the border of the facade, set aside 7 mm from it and repeat the manipulations with both posts.

Please note that both posts have a groove selected for the back wall of the fiberboard.

We mark the guides for drawer. For example, on the side wall of the box I set aside 40 mm from the bottom, which means on the box stand I set aside 50 mm from the bottom border of the drawer front. 55 mm on this line is 37 mm (fixed size for ball guide + inset front thickness 16 mm).

We fit and install the remaining holes and fittings. The horizons are attached to the posts from below with confirmats, and from above - with minifixes.

After this, we begin assembling the box: we attach the lower horizon, put the back wall in the groove, and install the upper horizon. We install the under-facade part (I simply screwed it with three screws from the bottom so that nothing would split and there would be no confirmation plugs on the sides).

After this, we move on to assembling the folding elements themselves. The planks are attached with self-tapping screws at the end (it is advisable to first drill holes for them so as not to split anything).. First, I assembled the baskets and decided to screw the facades to them, but that was not the case - it was impossible to get to the mounting holes, I had to partially disassemble and attach the facade and collect again.

I would advise you to start with the facades. Mark the mounting holes. I didn’t have a diagram for them, so I had to use the good old “Scientific Poke” method. The values turned out to be as follows. By the way, they are not far from the truth (see the article about the correct additive - will come a little later)

We place the mechanism on the facade and fix it with six self-tapping screws.
All that remains is to put the shoe racks in place and screw on the handle and the shelf can be mounted in the box.

To install it in the box, simply insert the assembled mechanism inside, position it opposite the previously drilled 20 mm holes, insert the axles into them and hammer them in with a hammer. Immediately drill with an 8 mm drill and install a stop pin. To do this, you need to retreat 172 mm from the axis, and 34 mm from the edge of the rack.

Our bedside table is gradually starting to take on a finished look.

We perform exactly the same manipulations with the second shoe rack. Then we move on to assembling the drawer. This process has already been discussed many times and we will not dwell on it.

All that remains is to put it in the designated niche. Screw the handle to the facade and set it to " ".

We screw additional magnetic latches into the box and strike plates to the facade.
That's it, the work is finished. I bought a nightstand like this appearance. I would like to note a small drawback - the mismatch of the texture of the facades. To correct this, it was necessary to place them on the sheet as they should be mounted, or to make the drawing horizontal.

Finally, I’ll add that this structure is quite unstable, so it will definitely need to be attached to the wall. TO AVOID TIP.

Few apartment owners can boast of spacious hallways with separate closets for shoes. Often you have to make do with narrow and small corridors, where it is physically impossible to install a wide chest of drawers. In such cases, purchasing ready-made and compact furniture is very problematic. But there is an alternative way out of the situation - a do-it-yourself shoe rack - a convenient shoe storage system made by yourself.

Let's take a closer look at the last option. The task of primary importance is to determine the size of the furniture, its internal filling, materials and tools. At the end of the article there are several drawings and diagrams of storage systems to choose from.

Preparatory activities

Considering design features products, tools and materials are selected in the required quantity. To make 90% of wooden models, they use standard tools that almost every owner has:

  • pencil;
  • hammer;
  • meter ruler;
  • square;
  • 2-confirm drills – 3.5 and 8 mm;
  • electric drill;
  • Forstner drill;
  • awl;
  • a set of hex keys (in the shape of an “L”, for tightening the opening/closing mechanisms, if provided);
  • template for marking the workpiece for holes.

This list is not complete and is adjusted depending on the specific model of the piece of furniture. To make a shoe rack stronger and cheaper, it is better to use strong Chipboard sheets and metal fittings:

  • screws;
  • pens;
  • a couple of decorative supports to give the structure a completed look;
  • rotating or lifting mechanisms (if provided for by the design).

Wooden shelves made like carousels require metal pins. With their help, shelves are fixed round shape. Let's look at how to make a simple one with your own hands, using a minimum of tools and materials.

Step-by-step instructions for making a storage system

A narrow furniture model was chosen for production, since they are in demand in small apartments. Assembly requires only 3 tools: a screwdriver, hand saw woodworking and electric drill. Wooden structures combine strength, comfort and functionality.

List of materials:

  1. Plywood treated with moisture-resistant impregnation. To install a narrow, medium-sized product, 4-5 sheets of 12 mm thickness are sufficient.
  2. Self-tapping screws for fastening wood.
  3. 2-3 shoe brushes (metal with stiff bristles) for each shelf.
  4. PVA glue or any other glue for wood.
  5. Set of 6 mm studs.
  6. Acrylic-based paint for wood processing.
  7. Moisture-resistant varnish and brush.
  8. 6-12 dowels.

Models with a seat are not relevant in small rooms. will not allow you to install full-size furniture and use it comfortably. Compact models will do their job perfectly, and the presence of metal brushes will allow you to securely hold the shoes inside the structure.

Sequence of assembling a shoe rack with your own hands:

  1. First of all, we make shelves for shoes in the hallway of suitable sizes with our own hands. 6 through holes are formed in the edge of the plywood blank.
  2. The spikes at one end are treated with glue, and then one by one they are inserted into the recesses made earlier (in order for it to “grab”, the spikes must be securely fixed in one position for 3-5 minutes).
  3. Holes of the same dimensions are made in the plywood (indicated in the diagram “C”). They will be needed to attach sheets “C” and “B”. For high-quality fixation of 2 elements, it is better to use clamps.
  4. Attached to the partially made structure wooden element(on diagram “D”).
  5. Through holes are made along the entire length of the brushes. They are used to fix wastewater plastic solutions on wooden surface. It is best to secure them with small self-tapping screws. The minimum distance from the edges is 1.5 cm.
  6. Elements “A” and “E” are drilled through.
  7. The structural parts and elements of the shelves are secured with self-tapping screws.
  8. At the final stage, the shoe rack in the hallway is painted in a color that echoes the interior of the home. Main feature this stage is an opportunity to demonstrate your creativity and involve little family members in exciting activities.
  9. The wall in the corridor is carefully drilled, and dowels are inserted into the holes, on which shoe shelves are hung.

Externally, such furniture does not look very compact, but their spaciousness is simply impressive.

Cardboard furniture

Can be used not only natural wood or chipboard, but also more affordable materials such as cardboard. The main idea is to use high-strength solutions. This ensures the storage of demi-season pairs of shoes. Additionally, you need to prepare an unnecessary box and several tools:

  • pencil;
  • masking tape;
  • wood glue;
  • ruler;
  • knife for working with furniture;
  • construction stapler.

To prepare shoes for the hallway with your own hands, just lay out the cardboard on the floor and ungroup it into several equal sections rectangular shape. A height of 30 cm is quite enough for a medium-sized piece of furniture. Rectangular blanks are neatly divided into 2 parts and neatly bent. It is very important that the side edges remain as smooth as possible, and the tops “look” down.

Drawers are created by folding rectangles. The edges are treated with tape - this will protect the structure from dampness, moisture and subsequent destruction. Individual drawers are placed in adjacent grooves and secured with wood glue. Due to this, a monolithic structure is formed. At the final stage, metal hooks are screwed to the top of the structure, which can be used to secure the product to the wall.

As for floor models made of cardboard that are not fixed to the wall, they cannot boast of high stability due to the lightness of the material. It is easy to knock over such a shoe rack by hitting it with your foot or the edge of a long fur coat.

There are many models and patterns of shoe racks. They can be adjusted at your own discretion and assembled manually, without any practical skills. In this matter, the main thing is free time, great desire and the availability of basic tools.

Summer gives way to autumn, autumn to winter, winter to spring, and so on, according to a circle set by nature. And we try to adapt to the whims of each season, purchasing a bunch of clothes and shoes for all occasions. The question of placing the latter in an often incapable of boasting of extra square meters the city hallway remains open. What to do? Quite rational and economical option- make a shelf for shoes in the hallway with your own hands. Don't have enough imagination to make the end result pleasing to the eye? We offer 20 photos of shelves for shoes made by yourself - you will certainly find something for yourself that meets your criteria.

Materials

Plywood

The best option is to cut the existing plywood into small pieces of equal size, then thoroughly sand it and assemble it into a structure of the shape you need. U-shaped designs are usually preferred. As a result, we have a strong and attractive shelf that perfectly copes with its immediate function.

Tree

The traditional material for homemade shoe racks is good old wood. It will never let you down, is absolutely non-toxic and is perfect for processing. All you need is a plane, a hammer, a pencil, a grinder, as well as a tape measure and a saw.

Chipboard

Compared to untreated wood, it has greater visual appeal, but in terms of its main characteristics it is outright inferior natural material. For production you will need grinder. Irregularities and other imperfections in the workpiece are leveled out with sandpaper, and your shelf will acquire its final “marketable” appearance when you stick a special tape onto the sanded surface.

Metal

Metal is rarely used to make a shoe rack with your own hands, but similar options often appear on the Internet. As a rule, they are modifications of accessories that have already served their purpose.

Perhaps the simplest option. It is easy and quick to make, quite roomy and will fit perfectly into any interior.

Even something as insignificant at first glance as a shoe rack can look like a real design revelation.

An example of a huge shoe shelf made of chipboard. The simplest design guarantees increased stability. As you can see in the photo, absolutely all the shoes will fit in this shelf. There will also be room for your guests. And the cat :)

An excellent rack that has solid capacity with fairly modest dimensions. Such homemade shelves can often be found in small Khrushchev-era hallways.

In the photo there is a forged homemade shelf. It will fit well into the format of both a city apartment and the design of the hallway of a private house. However, it is unlikely that you will be able to fit all your shoes on it. The shelf is small and perfect for a small family of 2-3 people.

A striking example of how skillful hands can give a second life to even scrapped furniture.

A common option, especially in demand in small hallways. The shelf is attached to the wall and allows you to do without a bulky chest of drawers or closet, thereby saving precious meters of living space. Making this option is not difficult for anyone: the main thing is to collect everything necessary details and tools. Note: wet shoes dry much faster in this suspended state!

Budget shelves

The need for invention is tricky: sometimes in order to conveniently place shoes in the apartment, you don’t need to do anything. Just a pallet is enough, and now your sneakers, sneakers, shoes, boots are in their place. True, before using such a shelf directly, you should thoroughly sand it in order to prevent damage to the shoes.

What a small and modest shelf for shoes in the hallway - and how much it holds! You can really make anything with your own hands - the main thing is that your hands are made of right place grew up.

Interesting DIY shoe rack. As you can see, both wood and materials from already defunct furniture were used. As a result, we observe extremely practical option with a rather specific look.

Did you know that a shoe rack can be made from ordinary cardboard? A minimum of wasted effort and time, but what an original and practical accessory I showed up in the hallway!

It seems to us that such an impromptu metal shoe rack will fit perfectly into the format of a large private home. However, in the conditions of the good old Khrushchev buildings and panel apartments, there will also be a place for it. You can make it in half an hour - if only you have the desire, material and tools.

This is what happens when a person with a progressive design mindset slowly but surely brings his crazy projects to life.

We have already looked at an example above homemade shelf for shoes from an ordinary pallet. Here, the source code for the furniture accessory is the same, with the only difference being that it has been noticeably “ennobled” by generously adding rich colors.

Creative shelf for shoes in the hallway. It will probably find its place in the apartment or house of a person prone to design thinking.

You can make a shoe rack from pipes. The “recipe” is simply outrageous: take several long pipes, cut them into pieces of equal length, fasten them with a neat bundle to the wall - and, voila, your shoes are stored in comfortable place and appropriate conditions.

We decided to update computer desk? Don't rush to throw away the old parts. The photo shows a vivid example of how to use even seemingly unnecessary things.

Aged wood motif - good idea for making a shoe rack with your own hands. The main thing is not to overdo it with style, otherwise your design risks losing its designer charm and acquiring a purely nominal value.

An option for a shoe rack in the hallway, which you can easily and quickly make with your own hands. Steel sheets that are used in in this example, durable and will not allow your shoes to end up on the floor. You can, of course, argue about the spaciousness of this type of shelf, but we won’t: both the idea and its direct implementation are too good.

An example of a DIY shoe rack, the manufacture of which may require forging skills. In fact, a practical accessory for the hallway. If anyone is afraid that this could damage their shoes, we hasten to dispel your doubts: the product is carefully varnished at the very end and will not leave a trace on your shoes, boots, ballet flats and other types of shoes.

Look at this sweet girl: her dad just made a shelf for shoes in the hallway with his own hands - and now the first shoes have taken their rightful place. A classic version of the popular homemade product, which you won’t be able to find fault with, even if you really want to.

Resume: We hope that you are convinced that a shoe rack in the hallway is easy to make with your own hands, and the end result can leave even standard store-bought copies far behind. The main rule is not to be afraid of your own imagination. A certain amount of creative courage in one direction or another and straight hands will allow you to seriously surprise your household and once and for all solve the problem of placing shoes in a small hallway.

When you have to make your way through the hallway like an icebreaker among the ice of the Arctic, tripping over shoes left here and there, it’s time to think about the shelf. This simple piece of furniture will make it easier to put things in order, save household members from searching for a pair in a pile of shoes dumped on the floor, and will improve the appearance of the hallway. Buy finished product- the pleasure is not cheap, and what trade offers does not always meet our needs. There is a solution - to make a shelf with your own hands.

Types of shoe racks and materials for their manufacture

The choice of material depends on work skills, the interior of the hallway or the place where you plan to place the shelf, as well as financial capabilities. To make this piece of furniture you will need:

  • wood (bars, slats, plywood, chipboard);
  • metal;
  • plastic;
  • PVC pipes;
  • cardboard;
  • textile;
  • improvised materials.

Table - advantages, disadvantages and features of using different materials for shoe shelves

Shelf materialAdvantagesFlawsFeatures of application
WoodEco-friendly, noble texture, plasticity of shape.Expensive, difficult to process and ability to absorb moisture.Due to sensitivity to moisture, dry, clean shoes can be stored in a wooden shelf only indoors. Atmospheric precipitation and temperature changes will lead to its deformation. To protect against moisture, wood is primed with special compounds.
PlywoodA cheaper alternative to solid wood, easier to process.Heavier than wood, absorbs moisture.No special skills are needed when working with the material.
ChipboardFurniture panels made of chipboard have protective coating from moisture and temperature changes.
Low price and variety of colors, does not require sanding or painting.
If the protective film is damaged, it quickly collapses due to its loose structure.Suitable for inexpensive furniture, inferior to wood and plywood in terms of durability.
MetalStrength and durability.The material is heavy, susceptible to corrosion, and requires special skills and tools to work with.Forging metal creates real works of art that can decorate any interior. Metal shelves will fit into the hallway of a city apartment, and country house, and after special treatment they can be placed outdoors. It is easy to make a product from metal pipes, fastening them with fittings. It’s even easier to make shelves from metal pipes and gratings, combining them with a wooden or other frame.
PlasticLow cost of material, easy to clean, not afraid of moisture.It does not breathe, moisture does not evaporate, so shelves can only be made open.Budget plastic shelves are available for sale; they are made by pressing. Making such furniture with your own hands is almost impossible, but making simple shelves from leftovers plastic panels everyone can do it.
PVC pipesOriginal and cheap material, is not afraid of moisture and temperature changes.It is unlikely that he is able to keep company with an expensive interior.Make a shelf from PVC pipes Even a teenager can do it.

The simplest and most creative options: shelves made of cardboard, fabric, scrap materials

If you want to quickly build original item interior design, without special skills or the ability to buy expensive materials, you can make your own simple models from available materials- fabric, cardboard, improvised items.

  1. The cardboard version will last quite a long time and will cost mere pennies, because the material will be an ordinary packaging box. Lightweight and durable cardboard can withstand heavy loads. Making a shelf out of it is so simple that it can be called not furniture making, but needlework. For this you will need:
    • stationery knife;
    • stapler;
    • glue or tape.

    Furniture decorated with film or wallpaper is difficult to distinguish from furniture made from traditional materials. But cardboard also has a drawback: if it gets wet, it will get wet. Therefore, it is better to dry wet shoes first, and protect the base with a moisture-proof film or hang the product on the wall so that the shoe rack is not damaged when wet cleaning the floor.

  2. For slippers, ballet shoes and children's shoes, you can sew fabric pockets. To do this, you will only need small pieces of material and sewing supplies. Placed vertically one above the other, they will not take up much space in the hallway. This design is suspended on one nail and, if necessary, can be moved to another place. Pockets are also sold ready-made, but those made by yourself will cost much less.
  3. Unusual, comfortable and simple shelves can be made from any available materials. Almost anything will do:

    • old furniture;
    • laminate left after renovation;
    • drywall;
    • plastic or wooden boxes;
    • pallets;
    • plastic bottles;
    • shoe or cardboard boxes;
    • piece of tin;
    • grill left over from an old refrigerator.

Which material to choose

When choosing material for a shelf, you need to consider where the product will be installed - in a residential area, on the veranda of a private house or cottage, or outdoors.

For home and garden - timber, plywood, chipboard

Any material is suitable for the room. When choosing, you should rely only on its safety and your taste. You should not make a shelf out of cardboard if there are animals in the house: this material will not withstand the teeth and claws of pets.

Outdoor shelves - metal and plastic

To store outdoor shoes, it is better to use moisture-resistant material or treated protective composition. It is important to consider here that the shelf will be affected by humidity, sun and temperature changes. It is advisable that the material is not too light, otherwise the shelf may be blown away by the wind. Best option- metal treated with an anti-corrosion compound. Chipboard should not be used; such a product will quickly become unusable outdoors. Plastic is not afraid of moisture, it is quite suitable for the street if the shelf is well secured.

Advice! If you plan to use a wooden shelf outdoors, treat it twice with a moisture-proofing compound before painting, focusing special attention ends.

Types of shelves for the hallway

The choice depends on the size of the room, its interior, functional purpose shelves.

  1. Closed. Used for long-term storage of shoes. They are a cabinet or cabinet with doors. They can be placed not only in the hallway, but also in rooms.
  2. Open. Placed in the hallway, suitable for daily storage casual shoes. Advantage open shelves in free air circulation: shoes dry faster and the smell disappears.
  3. Floor-standing. Suitable for spacious rooms, as they take up quite a lot usable area. To increase functionality they can be manufactured with a seat. There are open and closed.
  4. Wall-mounted. Save space and make cleaning easier. For a small hallway best option- narrow vertical design, it takes up little space and visually increases the height of the room.

Options for DIY shoe shelves in the hallway in the photo

We make shoe racks with our own hands: drawings, step-by-step photos, diagrams

Having decided on the material and model of the shelf, you can begin to manufacture it. One of the simplest and most inexpensive options is a cardboard shelf.

Narrow wall structure made of cardboard

It can be made in the form of separate pockets, connected to each other and hung on the wall. For this you will need:

  • cardboard boxes;
  • scissors;
  • pencil, ruler;
  • glue;
  • paint, wallpaper or decorative film;
  • cord.

Having prepared everything necessary, we get to work.

  1. Cut out a rectangle measuring 65x60 cm from cardboard.
  2. We measure 25 cm along the short side and draw a line.
  3. We divide the long side into 3 parts: 20 cm, 25 cm, 20 cm. Draw lines.
  4. In the central part we got a square 25x25 cm and a rectangle 25x35 cm. We cut off the side parts of the rectangle along the marked lines. A T-shaped blank will remain.
  5. On the remaining “wings” we measure 11 cm from the square along the top line and draw diagonals connecting the marked points and corners of the letter T.
  6. We bend the cardboard along straight and diagonal lines, using a metal ruler for convenience.
  7. We assemble the structure. The rectangle will serve as the back wall of the pocket, the triangles adjacent to the square will serve as the side ones, and we place the remaining parts behind the back wall.
  8. The elements are fastened with glue or tape. Finished pockets are covered with wallpaper, decorative film, covered with paint, and decorated with cords.
  9. Having done required quantity pockets, glue them together vertically and attach them to the wall.

PVC pipe construction

Making such a shoe rack will require a little time and a minimum of tools:

  • PVC pipes with a diameter of 20–25 cm;
  • paint, paper or film for pasting;
  • glue;
  • hacksaw.

Operating procedure:

  1. Cut the pipe into pieces 25-30 cm long, process the edges until smooth and decorate the pieces to your liking.
  2. Fasten the finished parts together in the form of a honeycomb or as your imagination tells you.
  3. Mount the structure on the wall or place it on the floor.
  4. Additionally, the pipes can be secured with cord or tape.
  5. As a result, you will get a design like this.

Pallet construction

For a summer residence or garden plot A shelf made from used pallets would be appropriate. Its production will not take much time and effort.

  1. Sand the tray manually or using a sander.
  2. Treat it with a moisture-protective agent, for example, Neogard wood water repellent.
  3. Lean the structure against the wall and use it.
  4. The pallet treated with a water repellent can also be painted. After the paint has dried, the improvised shelf can be used.
  5. If you gravitate towards traditional style, cut the pallet lengthwise into two or three parts. Place the resulting parts on top of each other, separating them with bars of the required thickness, and fasten them with self-tapping screws. You will get a shelving unit with two or three shelves.

Simple wooden shelf

You can quickly make a shelf from wooden blocks and slats. To do this, it is first advisable to draw up a drawing or diagram of the future structure, then cut the material according to the calculated dimensions and connect all the parts using self-tapping screws.

Shoe rack made of wooden slats

The simplest version of a wooden shoe rack is a shelf made of slats. If you don’t have bars at hand, you can get by with slats alone. To work you will need:

  • wooden slats;
  • hacksaw;
  • wood screws;
  • screwdriver;
  • sandpaper;
  • wood varnish.

Operating procedure:

  1. Measure the place where you plan to install the shelf and make a drawing.
  2. Cut the slats to the resulting dimensions. For a three-tier shelf, you should have four posts, six cross supports, and nine shelf slats. You can change the width of the shelf by screwing different quantities rack
  3. On the racks, mark the places where the transverse supports are attached, and use a drill to drill holes for the self-tapping screws. This is necessary to ensure that cracks do not form during assembly.
  4. Sand the parts with sandpaper.
  5. Assemble the side posts by screwing the crossbars to the posts with self-tapping screws. You will get two “ladders”.
  6. Screw the shelf slats starting from the bottom.
  7. Cover the product with varnish and let dry.

By showing your imagination and spending a little time, you can make a stylish and inexpensive shoe rack from what is at hand, but has not yet been used. Imagine, create, and your home will become unique and individual.

Shoe rack carousel (step-by-step photos, drawings)

You can make such a multi-story shelf with rotating shelves for shoes using any ready-made cabinet square sizes base, or you can make the cabinet yourself again.

We fix it motionless in the closet metal pipe, and on it we already install rotating round shelves for shoes. We insert pins into these round shoe shelves, on which, in our own words, our shoes will be located.
The author of the shelf (who, unfortunately, is unknown to us) recommends making two types of round shelves, for 9 pairs of shoes (for children) and 12 pairs of shoes (for adults) (see drawings in the photo below). This way, the closet will fit a lot more shoes and its efficiency will increase.

How to make a shelf out of shoe boxes - without nails

Perhaps this will be the most simple shelf have you ever done. So, you need to find five boxes and a can of paint. Then take a brush and paint the container in the color that best suits your interior. When the paint dries, that's it, the shelf is ready.

You just have to decide how to put them. If there are small children in the house, the structure, of course, must be connected with bolts or screws, or even better, attached to the wall, this will be more reliable and safer. But if there are no children, then there is no need to fasten them; the boxes are strong enough. And the main advantage you can change the shape of the structure at least every day. Imagine, every day you have a new shelf and no nails

So, for example, today you have a pyramid, and tomorrow a ladder, depending on your mood.

Folded into a durable design, it is very convenient to store shoes. For variety, you can take one box and put whatever you want.

Well, what do you think of the idea?

Cardboard shoe rack

This is the most simple furniture that you've ever done. I present master class on making a shoe rack from cardboard with your own hands , irreplaceable thing for new residents. In short: we make three equal strips of cardboard, press them so that they bend well, using a dull knife. We glue the sheets on one side with tape. We make triangles from the sheets and secure them with tape. Fix the resulting triangles with glue on a sheet of cardboard. The pyramid can be made of any size no matter how many triangles you make, it will be like this. Attach another cardboard sheet on top, this will be the top shelf. Anyone can do this kind of thing. This will come in handy before you buy a locker so that your shoes don’t end up lying around.

But that's not all, if there is very little space, you can make a hanging shoe rack made of cardboard, it's even easier. You need to make a rectangle from a sheet of cardboard, like in the photo. Choose the size yourself, depending on what shoes you will put there. Then lay out the box again, and using it as a template, cut the blanks. Then make as many pockets as you need, insert them into each other and secure them at the back with tape. The shelf can be hung on the wall or on the door.

Of course, not very good for winter shoes good option, but in the summer it’s very convenient, you’ll save a lot of space.
