How to properly disassemble a light bulb: instructions for disassembling various types of lamps. A few tips on how to unscrew the base of the light bulb from the cartridge Dismantling while maintaining the base

Grab the solder joint with pliers. Look at the bottom of the bulb and look for a small metal joint. Grab this joint firmly with needle-shaped nippers.

  • You will be breaking glass during this step and during other processes, so it's best to work on the box or lay down some sheets of paper. You should also wear gloves and goggles.
  • Twist and pry out the metal. Turn the joint with pliers until you feel the copper part break one or two wires leading to the filament inside. When the metal base is free, remove it.

    • Grab the light bulb firmly with your other hand as you remove the metal bottom.
    • You may need to wiggle the sides of the plinth back and forth slightly if twisting doesn't work.
    • The sides of the metal part should be sufficiently embossed so that you can grab a good grip with pliers while lifting the plinth.
  • Break the glass insulator. Hold one side of the black glass insulator at the bottom of the bulb with pliers. Twist it to break the glass.

    • The glass in this place is thick, so you will have to make an effort to break it. Make sure you hold the bulb firmly with your other hand.
    • The insulator will break into many pieces during this step, so don't forget about safety.
    • You may need to break the insulator at different angles around the perimeter if it doesn't break completely the first time.
  • Remove all fragments of the broken insulator. Using tweezers, clean the light bulb base from fragments of black glass insulator.

    • These shards will be very sharp, so you should not pick them up with your bare hands.
    • After removing the glass of the insulator, you will see the internal components of the light bulb from below.
  • Remove the inner filling tube. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the bottom of the bulb, next to one side of the outer fill tube. Press down on the side of the tube with a screwdriver to pull it out.

    • The lamp will be filled with argon or a similar inert safe gas. When you pull out the tube, you will hear a sound indicating the release of argon gas.
  • Pull out the tube. Insert a screwdriver between the tube and the lamp to release the tube completely, then pull it out with pliers or tongs.

    • If you can successfully free the tube without breaking it, you can use it for something else.
    • If you are unable to pull the tube out by prying it around with a screwdriver, you may need to apply more force and break the tube. Remove the fragments with tweezers when finished.
    • You will have to put in a lot of effort, so make sure you have a firm grip on the bulb with your other hand.
  • When an electric incandescent lamp fails, it can be used for various crafts. To do this, you need to know how to disassemble the light bulb. The tools used are thin-nosed pliers and a screwdriver. Be sure to need gloves to protect your hands from cuts. The components of the lamp are shown in the photo below.

    What does a disassembled lamp look like?

    The lamp consists of electrodes with a spiral, a glass container and a base (in the photo - from left to right). The spiral is fixed on the electrodes, one of which is attached by soldering to the base sleeve, and the other - to its central contact. There is an insulating glass between the sleeve and the contact. When assembling the lamp, the sleeve is filled with an inert gas so that the spiral does not quickly oxidize and does not burn out.

    Fluorescent and energy-saving lamps contain poisonous mercury desks inside, you need to work with them carefully so as not to damage the flask.

    Lamp disassembly

    An ordinary incandescent lamp can be easily disassembled, there are no harmful substances inside it. This is done in the following way:

    1. It is necessary to grab the soldered contact at the bottom with thin-nosed pliers, loosen it and turn it until the two wires leading to the heating body break, then remove the contact.
    2. With thin-nose pliers, the base insulator is carefully cracked. This is done carefully as it is made of thick glass.
    3. The remaining inner part of the bulb (“leg”) is loosened and removed. The “leg” is made of glass, which should be handled with care. Together with it, the filament body, electrodes and hooks are removed. The bulb is then cleaned inside with a cloth.

    Removing the “legs” of the incandescent lamp from the bulb

    The work is connected with glass, so it is done over a box or sheets of paper.

    The result is an original container made of heat-resistant glass, which can be used for the following crafts:

    • fill inside with water and lower the stems of small plants, such as flowers, into it;
    • pour a flammable liquid to the bottom, lower the wick into it and use the light bulb as a source of light or heat;
    • glue the light bulbs together and fix them like a lampshade around a source of electric light;
    • put a beautiful craft inside the light bulb, for example, a sailboat;
    • pour earth on the bottom of the flask and plant a small plant;
    • use as a miniature aquarium;
    • make a small container for storing spices and choose a suitable lid that should fit the base.

    If a metal base is not needed, it can be carefully broken off by first scratching the junction with the bulb with a glass cutter or diamond file. You can lower the base into hydrofluoric acid or a mixture of hydrochloric acid and ammonium nitrate. After the metal dissolves, only the glass part will remain. You can also bend the base at the point of contact with the glass, and then crumble the glue and remove the flask. The old incandescent lamp has a not very strong connection, as a result of which it becomes easier to separate the base.

    Disassembly of a lamp with a cartridge

    When unscrewing the lamp from the socket, it may break or separate without a base. To disassemble the cartridge, do the following:

    1. Gloves and goggles are worn to protect against glass fragments. If the lamp is located high, you should wear a hat.
    2. The electricity is turned off and the absence of voltage is checked by the indicator. The light bulb can be connected with a switch on the neutral wire, and not on the phase. In the electrical panel, the machine is turned off, through which power is supplied to the lighting line (the light bulb also belongs to it).
    3. Next, you need to collect the fragments from the floor with a dustpan and a broom and throw them in the trash. If there are glass residues on the plinth, thick paper or cardboard should be laid underneath.
    4. The base is unscrewed with pointed pliers counterclockwise. If it does not give in, it must be loosened by rotation in both directions. You can try to unscrew the cartridge by turning it counterclockwise. If this succeeds, it will not be difficult to unscrew the base in the future. If it does not unscrew by the edges, you should move the pliers apart and, with an emphasis on the inner walls of the base, unscrew it. The edges of the plinth can be bent inward with a flat screwdriver. Then it will be better to grab them with pliers when twisting. The contacts of the cartridge lose their elasticity over time and deform when the lamp is screwed in. They need to be constantly bent when replacing lamps.

    A compact fluorescent lamp consists of a lamp with an electronic control gear (ECG) integrated into the housing in the area of the base. The lamp must not be disassembled as it contains poisonous mercury vapours, and the starter can be accessed for repair. To do this, use a flat wide screwdriver to unfasten the latches one by one, as shown in the figure below.

    The process of disassembling a compact fluorescent lamp

    Old lamps are hard to disassemble, because the plastic becomes hard from prolonged heating, and the latches break. They can be cut off by running a sharp blade along the seam several times, and then opening the halves. In the future, they will have to be glued together. Disassembly will be easier if you heat the case with a building hair dryer.

    Inside there is an electronic ballast connected to the base contacts with short wires.

    How a compact fluorescent lamp works

    First of all, the multimeter checks the health of the filaments indicated on the board A1-A2 and B1-B2. Their resistance is 9-10 ohms. If a coil break is detected, it is shunted with a resistor with a power of at least 1 W and with the same resistance. This removes the diode shunting the filament.

    Sometimes there is a fuse in the control circuit. If it burns out, a few ohm resistor is installed instead.

    With serviceable threads, the condition of the board is checked: the presence of damage, burnt elements and the quality of the soldering. Then the serviceability of the parts is determined. Most often, a breakdown of transistors or a resonant capacitor occurs. Can fail: input limiting resistor, electrolytic capacitor, rectifier diodes.

    Bulbs burn out on start up. Therefore, their durability is determined by the number of inclusions.

    If both filaments burn out, the lamp can be recycled, and a serviceable electronic board can be used to power a tubular fluorescent lamp, if it is suitable for power.

    You can extend the life of the CFL by drilling small holes for ventilation around the perimeter of the case (one row near the base and one in the middle).

    Disassembly of the LED lamp

    LED lamps are dismantled for the purpose of repair. For this, it is not necessary to have great knowledge in the field of electronics. First of all, the voltage supply to the contacts of the cartridge into which the lamp is screwed is checked. If there is power, but it does not burn, then the reason is in the lamp. A simple way to check is to screw a working lamp into a socket. To test the circuit, the type of lamp is not important.

    The structure of the LED lamp

    • frame;
    • plinth;
    • light diffuser;
    • block of LEDs;
    • driver.

    The case does not require tightness and the presence of a gaseous environment inside, although models that are completely similar in appearance to incandescent lamps have now become popular.

    The bulb of the lamp is made of glass or plastic. In the upper part there is a diffuser of light rays made of plastic.

    Socles are used the same as for incandescent lamps: E27 and E14. Foreign models have an E26 base and are often rated for 110 V.

    The block consists of several groups of LEDs, which are soldered onto textolite or aluminum boards. Each lamp is connected in series.

    Drivers are power supplies that convert the input voltage to the optimal voltage for groups of LEDs. Transformer power circuits are common. Drivers can be built into the case or run as a separate unit.

    Damage detection

    The light-scattering dome is arranged on latches, by unhooking which, you can access the inside. It can be attached to the housing with screws that must be unscrewed.

    Disassembled LED lamp

    After disassembly, the lamp power circuit is checked for external damage. If no burnouts are found, they are checked with a multimeter.

    Burnout can be seen on the LEDs. In this case, they must be replaced. The rest of the parts are also called, and the faulty ones are replaced. It is recommended to replace the current-limiting capacitor with another one whose operating voltage is 400 V. If it is rated for 220 V, it may fail. When a suitable LED cannot be found, a 0.25 W resistor is connected instead, and the value depends on the lamp power.

    The assembly of the LED lamp is done in the reverse order.

    Incandescent LED lamp

    1. Remove the solder on the bottom contact of the incandescent lamp base by melting it with a soldering iron.
    2. Use needle-nose pliers to break the black glass that serves as insulation.
    3. Use a screwdriver to remove the glass leg and remove everything from the lamp. Maximize the opening.
    4. Solder a circuit of three LEDs by connecting them in parallel and adding a 56 ohm resistor to each. The resistor is soldered to the “+” of the LED (fig. below a). The resistance value may be different as it depends on the power supply.
    5. Solder two insulated voltage supply wires to the circuit.
    6. Insert the resulting structure into the hole in the base and carefully unfold it inside the light bulb so that the wires do not close together.
    7. Pull out the power wires from the hole in the base.
    8. Check the serviceability of the light bulb by connecting it to a constant voltage source (Fig. b).
    9. Fill the plinth inside with a hot glue gun and let it harden.

    This way you can make a cheap and economical LED lamp, because the cost of the finished model is high, and low-quality products often come across.

    We disassemble the lamp. Video

    The answer to the question of how to disassemble the light bulb correctly can be obtained by watching this video.

    The incandescent lamp is easily disassembled, many crafts can be made from it, but it is impossible to use the lamp for its intended purpose. Only electronic control devices for CFLs and LED lamps located inside the base can be restored.

    LED lamps today are considered the most economical and durable compared to the rest. And although their cost is still relatively high, they are increasingly replacing incandescent and fluorescent lamps.
    Why is this happening?
    Mainly for two reasons:
    1. incandescent lamps burn out quickly and have low efficiency,
    2. fluorescent lamps require special disposal, as they have mercury vapor in the flask. In addition, breaking such a lamp at home, you can expose your household to the effects of poison.
    There are no such problems with LEDs. Throw them anywhere and smash them to health, they do not pose any danger, except for glass fragments.

    At the same time, there are a lot of companies producing these products, and choosing a quality product among them is sometimes not an easy task.
    Yes, and the eminent brand does not guarantee full confidence in the long uninterrupted operation of the device.
    What to do if the lamp has stopped shining, and it is impossible to change it under warranty. You can try to repair it yourself. Its device is not complicated and does not require special tools for disassembly.
    This article will describe the disassembly and repair of a standard, budget-class LED lamp. In addition, one of the options for failure and its elimination is given.
    Of the tools you need only a screwdriver, a knife and possibly a two-handed indicator.

    If there is no indicator, any "dialing" will do.
    So, let's start by removing the diffuser. To do this, insert the knife blade into the gap between the glass and the plastic case and gently move it in different directions.

    The diffuser should come out of the latches and be removed without problems.

    A board with LEDs and a rectifier opens up.

    There is also a fuse on the board. To make sure that it is not burned out, we connect the ends of the dialing to its conclusions. Light or sound indication of the device will show its serviceability. If it doesn't show, you'll have to replace it.

    When the fuse is intact, we disassemble further.
    At the beginning, we unscrew the two screws securing the board, after which it can be easily removed.

    Under the board is a radiator in the form of a metal flask.

    The heat transfer of the board to the radiator is improved by thermal paste applied to both surfaces.
    If necessary, it can be changed if it is dry. A regular thermal paste for a computer processor will do.
    To continue disassembly, pull on the top of the lamp housing and it can be easily removed.

    In the lower part of the case with a cartridge, you can see two metal strips, one end connected to the base, and the other with holes - where the screws go.

    Thus, through the screw, voltage is transmitted from the base to the board.
    The problem turned out to be that over time, the contact bent and did not come into contact with the board screw. Hence the absence of the glow of the lamp.
    To eliminate this malfunction, simply bend the end of the contact strip with a screwdriver or tweezers.

    Of course, you can do it better, for example, by soldering the wires to the board and the base. Then there will be no problems with contact. But more often than not, the first simple option is enough.
    Now you can assemble the lamp in reverse order. We put on the upper part with a radiator so that two contacts fall into the holes.

    Next, install the board and twist it.

    The question of how to unscrew a light bulb seems ridiculous and banal to many. Indeed, there are many different solutions. However, situations often arise when burned-out light sources are in no hurry to leave their place in the lamp.

    As a result of a voltage surge or a short circuit of the spiral, the bulb base (the metal element of the lamp designed to twist it) can be welded to the cartridge and, with excessive force applied, the glass bulb can break off from the rest of the lamp.

    The worst option is if you find yourself face to face with a problem, the bulb crashed unevenly, there were protruding fragments in the base, the lamp is in the lamp under the ceiling, which is quite difficult to remove, and the whole room was left in the dark. In this case, you should not panic either, your accuracy and following the correct procedure for further actions is important.

    How to unscrew the base if the light bulb is broken

    Greetings to all friends on the Electrician in the House website. I was prompted to write another article on lighting by a girl who had problems with lighting in her apartment. The crux of the problem was "exploding light bulbs". More precisely, incandescent bulbs often burst in the chandelier in the kitchen, and everything would be fine, if not for one thing.

    Unscrew the damaged light bulb from the socket chandeliers, and even with protruding fragments, as you understand, are problematic, especially for a girl. And to deal with the problem, she sometimes had to call an electrician. This girl came with advice on what to do in such a case and how to remove the remains of an exploding light bulb.

    To be honest, I never thought before that people could have such problems. But as it turned out in life, this is not so, and for many people ignorant of electricity, it is not easy in such simple situations. Let's look at what are the ways to deal with the problem of a base stuck in a cartridge, I think it will be interesting not only for beginners.

    Even knowing how to unscrew the base if the light bulb is broken, you need to correctly assess the current situation. When lamps explode in their socket or are broken accidentally, their conductive parts may remain energized. Also, sharp edges of glass often remain on the broken part. It is clear that you should not climb there with your bare hands, and rubber gloves are easy to cut through.

    It is good when the room is powered in the electrical panel from several machines. In this case, we turn off only the machine from which the lamp (chandelier) with the damaged lamp is powered.

    If the room is dark, having an electric carrier and a table lamp, it is easy to build yourself a backlight using a nearby outlet from another line. If this is not possible, use a flashlight or backlight on your mobile phone.

    Do not forget that during operation the light bulbs themselves and their bases get very hot. It is better to wait a few minutes and let the lamp cool down well. During this time, you can take care of possible fragments that, when removing the base, will begin to pour onto the floor. At the place of their planned fall, you need to spread a rag or film (in extreme cases, use a bucket or basin). Also prepare the devices necessary for further actions.

    There are several ways removing the base remaining in the cartridge Let's take a look at the most common ones.

    Method # 1 - pliers or thin-nosed pliers

    To solve the problem, we use thin-nosed pliers or pliers. Who does not know what thin-nosed pliers are - these are miniature pliers with elongated and thinner lips. They make it easier to capture small details. It is better to use a tool with insulating handles.

    First you need to carefully tear off the remaining fragments of the lamp bulb from the base. Try not to let them fall on the floor.

    Next, the base is gently grabbed by the edge with the selected tool and twisted outward. The main thing here is not to damage the circumference of the cartridge. But if you do everything carefully, there will be no problems. When the base does not move, you can try to bend its sides inward and only then try to unscrew it.

    There was one case in my practice, in one person in the evening broken light bulb in a three-arm chandelier. He decided to remove the base to screw in a new light bulb. In order to make it brighter, this "professor" thought of turning on the light on the lamps remaining in the work and climbed with pliers to the cartridge. He was so twitchy, ... therefore, before unscrewing the base of the light bulb from the cartridge, DISCONNECT THE VOLTAGE.

    Method # 2 - plastic bottle

    Another life hack that will help us deal with broken light bulb regular plastic bottle. Its neck fits perfectly into the base.

    In order to unscrew a broken light bulb, you need to slightly melt the neck of the bottle with matches or a lighter, put it in the remaining base and wait a while.

    After the plastic has hardened and soldered to the base, begin to unscrew the resulting structure. It takes about 10-15 seconds to melt and solidify the plastic.

    Method # 3 - unscrew the cartridge

    Another convenient way is to disassemble the cartridge itself. But I want to note that with ceramic cartridges that are installed in most modern lamps and chandeliers, this method will not work.

    This procedure can be performed only with carbolite cartridges of the old (Soviet) type. The difference between carbolite and ceramic cartridges is that the first one is collapsible.

    The carbolite cartridge is disassembled into three main parts: two carbolite halves having a threaded connection between themselves and a ceramic core on which brass terminals (contacts) are attached.

    In one of the halves of the cartridge there is a metal sleeve in the form of a thread for screwing in the lamp base. If this half is unscrewed from the base, then the base of the broken lamp will remain in it.

    Method # 4 - use a cork

    Next method if it burst, is to use a cork. We take a cork stopper, sharpen a little around the edges and insert it into a protruding base. Then we unscrew the cork together with the base.

    If the lamp shattered, and fragments of glass remained sticking out in the lamp, you can try to string a soft cork on them so that the fragments are tightly drowned in the crust. Next, the plug with the base carefully begin to turn. This is done before they fall out.

    Used light bulbs are trash. But if you are a super creative person with a wild imagination, then for you this light bulb will be an element of decor in the house. You can place an eternal terrarium, sparkles, water, colored cotton wool, threads, photos and much more in a glass lamp. You can also make a garland, a panel or a lampshade from such glass material. But in order to make decorations, you must first know how to disassemble the light bulb yourself.

    "Lamp" instruction

    To start creating, you first need to get everything unnecessary out of the light bulb. Follow the instructions and do not violate the safety rules. In order to disassemble the incandescent lamp, take thin-nosed pliers, a light bulb and a screwdriver.

    Instruction:

    • we unscrew the burned-out light bulb from the cartridge;
    • we take thin-nosed pliers, at the bottom of the base we find a contact and loosen it to pull it out;
    • then we break the base insulator to pull out the bottom of the contact;
    • we take a screwdriver and try to loosen all the insides of the lamp with it, pull them out with thin-nosed pliers;
    • then we take out the electrodes, the filament body and the hooks holding the filament body;
    • wipe the lamp with a dry cloth from the inside.

    As you can see, disassembling a light bulb is not difficult, but you still need to be careful not to cut yourself. The insides are mostly glass, and if you break them, you can get very hurt. So it's better not to compress the tools too much.

    But remember that you can only disassemble an incandescent lamp, because it does not contain harmful substances inside, but it is better not to touch the energy-saving one.

    What to do if suddenly the lamp gets out without a base? Of course, this is good for disassembling the lamp, there is less work, but you still need light in the room, so you can get the base from the cartridge as follows:

    • We put on a hat, glasses and gloves. Working with glass is dangerous, so it's better to play it safe;
    • turn off the electricity and check the voltage;
    • we proceed to unscrew the base, it is unscrewed with pointed pliers counterclockwise. If suddenly it doesn’t work out, try to loosen it;
    • after you have the plinth in your hands, remove all the glass from the floor.

    What can be made from an empty lamp? Many people like to make crafts from things that are not intended for this at all. Light bulbs are no exception.

    Interesting! Such a beautiful decor as an eternal terrarium will look great in a small light bulb.

    In order to make it you will need: moss, forest soil, tree bark, pebbles, sand, water, acorns. At the bottom we put pebbles that serve as drainage for us, then sand goes, then we put soil, moss and wood, pour a couple of drops of water and close the terrarium.

    With all these "ingredients" we create a small ecosystem, so the terrarium will develop.

    You can also make a container for storing spices, such as pepper, salt, sugar, from a light bulb. You can also just paint the lamp in a beautiful color or wrap it with twine. You can make small vases for flowers or funny figurines of fairy-tale characters. Perhaps it will be a bright garland or a small Christmas decoration, or maybe a tiny balloon.

    Home decor is good, but saving money doesn't hurt anyone either. Therefore, if you want your lamp to last longer, do not turn it off and on too often, always check the serviceability of cartridges and sockets so that electricity flows without interruption. It is also desirable to have protection against power outages, which will protect not only the lamps, but also all the appliances in your home. Remember that jokes with electricity are bad, do not forget to turn off the light when leaving the room or even leaving the house. This will help save money, the lamp, and your home.

    LED lamps are no longer dismantled for the purpose of decoration, but for the purpose of their repair. If they do not burn, it is worth unscrewing them and screwing others into the same cartridge. If the testers give light, then it's not the cartridge. So, let's start disassembling the light bulb.

    Can LED bulbs be disassembled? Of course, it’s better not to disassemble at home, but it’s still possible. The instructions for proper disassembly of the lamp are described below.

    Instruction:

    • unroll the body;
    • after we consider the motherboard: if no burnouts were found, then we take a multimeter and with the help of the device we check again all the details;
    • we replace damaged parts with new ones;
    • put the body back.

    Reasons why LED lamps burn out:

    • complete burnout of one LED, as a result of which the lamp stops shining due to a violation of the current supply through other light diodes;
    • burnout of one of the current supply chains. If the lamp does not shine so brightly, then the reason is precisely in the fuse of the chain;
    • flickering of a diode that has not yet completely burned out.

    The LED lamp is an energy-saving lamp, but its cost in the store is much higher than the cost of a conventional lamp. But there is a way out: you can make it yourself, or rather, remake it from the usual one. To do this, remove the solder on the bottom contact of the base. Work is carried out according to the following scheme:

    • heat up the soldering iron;
    • break black glass with pliers;
    • remove everything from the lamp;
    • solder three LEDs in turn and add 56 ohm resistors to each;
    • solder two insulated wires to the circuit;
    • we insert everything into the lamp and already level it inside, we take out the wires from the hole;
    • fill the base with hot glue.

    Factors affecting the service lifelamps:

    1. Voltage level, or rather, excess voltage.
    2. Ammo failure.
    3. A large number of on and off lamps.
    4. Switch failure.
    5. Quality of wire connections.

    Important! Choosing the right light bulb for your home is important. The power should be 13-15 W, this is enough for one room. It is also important to buy a lamp with a 75-90 color rendering coefficient, with an aluminum heatsink.

    Do not forget that LED light bulbs are harmful to health and lead to many diseases and even cancer. This is due to increased UV radiation. Vision also deteriorates due to oxidative processes in the retina. If the lamp suddenly breaks, there is a risk of mercury poisoning. Therefore, it is better to buy such bulbs for rooms where light is not used so often. If the light bulb is screwed into a table lamp, then there should be a distance of 15 cm from the eye to the lamp.

    If we talk about choosing a chandelier or lamp, then it is better not to take closed shades, otherwise there is a risk of overheating of the chandelier, which can lead to undesirable consequences.

    How to remove the base from the light bulb?

    The hardest part of disassembling a light bulb is removing the base. The base helps the lamp to gain a foothold in the cartridge, it also transmits current. It is difficult to take it out, and it consists of two parts: upper and lower. How to disassemble the lamp and remove the base? In order to remove the base, we take pliers, grab the base, loosen it and pull it out. It is advisable not to squeeze the pliers strongly so as not to damage the base. It happens that the base gets stuck in the cartridge. How to separate the base from the cartridge? We take pliers, pull out the base from the cartridge in the same way as from the light bulb. Just do it carefully so as not to damage the cartridge itself.

    In order to understand when buying which base is in one or another lamp, you should know the following designations:

    • E - Edison threaded base;
    • G - pin base;
    • R - base with recessed contacts;
    • B - pin base (bayonet);
    • S - soffit base;
    • P - focusing base;
    • T - telephone base;
    • K - cable base;
    • W - lamps without base.

    Small letters indicate the number of contacts:

    • s - single-contact;
    • d - two-pin;
    • t - three-pin;
    • q - four-pin;
    • p - five-pin.

    There are 7 types of socles: threaded (incandescent), pin (halogen), pin (in car headlights), soffit (car interior lighting), focusing (movie projectors, flashlights), telephone (remote illumination), with recessed contact (quartz halogen).

    Before you run to the store for light bulbs, look at what shape your cartridge is, so as not to make a mistake with the choice of base. The form depends on the type. If it is a threaded view, then it should be threaded, if it is a pin, then the base looks like a plug from a plug. The most common type is threaded, as it is used in almost all types of light bulbs.
