	holes are drilled for fasteners;
	the device is attached to the door;
	markings are made for fixing the mounting strips on the cabinet body. To do this, you need to attach the door to the desired place and align, completely eliminating the possibility of distortions and shifts. On the cabinet body, mark the places for fastening the strips;
	the marked holes are drilled;
	mounting plate is in progress;
	the two parts of the loop are connected.

For the convenience of installing the loop, you can use a special template that allows you to quickly and efficiently apply the markings.

Fitting the hinge to the glass door

Installation of hinges for glass cabinets is carried out as follows:

1. all work begins with marking and selecting an area for installing a loop. The markup rules are identical to the previous situation;
2. using a drill, the loop is attached to wooden frame cabinet. For this, holes are drilled for fasteners, and the loop is fixed with a screwdriver or screwdriver;
3. fastened to the glass with clamps. The glass surface is inserted into the hinge. On each side, rubber gaskets are installed between the glass and the hinge to protect the glass from damage. The hinge is secured with bolts.

The instructions show the installation of hinges, which does not imply drilling the glass. This method is most preferable, since the possibility of door splitting is excluded. How to install the hinge when drilling glass is shown in the figure below.

Installation of hinges for metal cabinets can be carried out using one of the presented technologies. The installation method depends on the type of hinge used.

Buttonhole adjustment

In most cases, repairing a cabinet hinge involves adjusting the device.

The standard four-pivot hinge is produced in three directions:

• vertically;
• horizontally;
• by the depth of installation.

To adjust the furniture hinge, you must:

1. identify the problem that has arisen, that is, determine in which direction the shift has occurred;
2. tighten or loosen the corresponding bolt located on the hinge housing.

Using the adjusting bolts, you can eliminate the shortcomings identified after installing the hinge, and adjust the position of the furniture door for proper closing and snug fit to the cabinet body.

The need to select and install furniture hinges arises when buying furniture and self-assembly or after a breakdown, for example, as a result of unsuccessful transportation. The choice of hinges depends on many different factors, the main of which is the way the door is opened. The hinge can be installed on your own. This work does not cause difficulties for novice craftsmen and absolutely inexperienced people. The main thing is to apply the markup correctly.
