Shoe shelf made of drawers. Shoe cabinet in the hallway

Very often, the layout of the apartment does not allow installing a full-fledged shoe closet in the hallway. As a rule, the corridors are very narrow and it is not possible to install wide chests of drawers.

Presented on the furniture market huge selection various ready-made shoe racks and chests of drawers for shoes, but they are not always suitable in size, color and design.

A good storage alternative in this case is a shoe rack with built-in shoe racks.

There are one-, two- and three-section systems. Depending on the number of sections, the number of shoes that will fit in the finished product. The depth of the shoe rack may also change.

Today we invite you to consider the process of manufacturing and assembling a two-section shoe rack, the dimensions of which are: 1100*700*250 (W*H*D). And using this material, you can easily make such a shoe rack with your own hands at home.

The materials for making shoe racks can be:

  • MDF board,
  • Chipboard board,
  • Plywood,
  • Tree.

As for plywood, it is certainly one of the most durable materials for making furniture. However, it requires additional processing and painting.

MDF is also highly durable. Its dense structure facilitates the process of drilling and assembling the product. But, often, if you make a shoe rack entirely from MDF, the product turns out to be quite heavy and expensive. Therefore, only facades are usually made from MDF, and the entire body is assembled from chipboard.

When ordering cutting and laminating MDF, you can additionally choose milling on the plate, that is, using a special milling equipment a relief pattern will be applied to the parts. He will add special style your shoe rack.

IN this material We will consider the manufacture of overshoes from a chipboard slab with a thickness of 16 mm for the frame, and 10 mm for the internal partitions of the overshoes. This material is one of the most budget-friendly on the market.

Due to the fact that chipboards have a wide range of colors, you can choose the color you like most or choose a decor that best matches the rest of the furniture in your home.

Our design involves the use of two colors: dark wenge (for the roof, sides, internal pillar and bottom) and wenge light color(for facades).

Of course, it is much easier to order detailing from a specialized store or workshop, since chipping cannot be avoided when cutting parts yourself. You just need to go to a furniture shop with detailing, and they will also trim them for you.

Edging parts

At home, veneering is only possible, because for plastic you need a special machine and glue, which, heating up to high temperatures, provides good adhesion of the edge to the part.

  • Roof,
  • facades,
  • Sidewalls.

All internal parts, partitions in overshoes can be pasted over in the same way PVC edging, but 0.5 mm thick. You will need to hand over the detailing to the furniture shop craftsmen, which will also indicate how to veneer the parts.

  • Shoes - 4 sets. These are plastic sandwiches for the sidewalls, each set contains two pieces, size: 192*287*85*16;
  • Handles – 4 pcs;
  • Thrust bearings – 6 pcs.;
  • Self-tapping screws;
  • Confirmations
  • Double-sided tape (for mounting facades).

Necessary tool

  • Screwdriver;
  • Screwdriver, tape measure, square;
  • Confirmation bat;
  • Screw bit;
  • Drill for confirmations;
  • Awl.

Assembling a shoe rack

First of all, we assemble the frame of the shoe rack, four main parts - two sidewalls, a roof and a bottom. The box itself can be assembled at:

  • Confirmats - here you will see stubs from them,
  • Minifixes - the process of installing an eccentric coupler is described in more detail in the article.
  • Furniture metal corners.

It's up to you to decide what will be easiest for you. I would still recommend minifixes.

After we assemble the box, we can install the internal parts.

The easiest way to screw them to the sidewalls and bottom is with confirmations, and to the roof and between each other in the center - with metal corners.

The final work on the frame will be the installation of the fiberboard back wall. In principle, nothing complicated should arise here.

It should be remembered that when installing the back wall of fiberboard, you should always have a perfect square/rectangle with even diagonals

Installation of galoshes

Now we will need to install the mechanisms for the shoe rack. They are attached to the sides. Below are the installation dimensions and mounting drawings of these mechanisms:

To make it easier to deal with installation dimensions and it is easier to install the opening mechanism for our shoe rack, you can use the drawings below.

On the sidewalls you need to mark the attachment points for the rotation axis and the stop pin, and you can immediately screw the panels to the sidewalls.

At our shoe shoe standard size: 192*287*85*16 . First, make markings for future fastening of the plastic part according to the above drawing and installation diagram (for each shoe shoe, the kit always includes a drawing and wiring diagram its installation, according to which, in fact, installation should be carried out).

First of all, the shoe shoe needs to be screwed to the sidewalls of the chipboard using self-tapping screws. In this case, pay attention to the fact that the shoe shoe should tilt freely and return to its original position.

Now you need to connect the parts made of chipboard (the shoe shoe itself), the thickness of which is 10 mm, and the plastic parts of the shoe shoe.

Do this in stages. That is, first you insert the parts into special grooves and screw them with self-tapping screws to the left side panel, then to the internal vertical partition. After that, repeat these steps with the back of the partition and the right side.

At the next stage, all we have to do is install the facades, handles and thrust bearings.

We glue double sided tape onto the shoe shoe, try on the façade, press it and screw it on.

Please note: in our detailing, the dimensions of the facades for cutting and edging are already indicated with the necessary indents and gaps of 2 mm on each side. Also, based on the installation drawing of the shoe shoe, the gap of the facade from below should be at least 7 mm!!!

That is, step by step, we have:

  1. The height of the opening for the facade is 326 mm.,
  2. height of the facade in detail 311 mm.,
  3. when we glue the edge to the facade, we will add 2 mm on each side - it will already be 315 mm,
  4. you will also need 2 mm for the gap,
  5. As a result, in an opening with a height of 326 mm there will be a facade with a height of 315 mm (2 mm each for the gap at the top and bottom, plus an additional gap of 7 mm at the bottom).

At the very end, all we have to do is screw on the thrust bearings and at this point the assembly can be considered complete.

Shoe rack drawing

Now all the shoes in your hallway will be in their places, while folding mechanism will not interfere with free movement in the hallway.

If the dimensions of this shoe rack do not suit you, you can proportionally reduce or increase all the dimensions of the parts, having previously calculated how much space is needed to fit all the shoes.

Good luck to all home crafters!

In most cases, limited space is allocated for this room, so it is so important to use it wisely.

In the hallway, it is necessary to ensure that each item has its own place: in this case, you will not spend a lot of time getting ready. At the same time, if the clothes are simpler and have hooks, then it is better to provide special shelves for shoes and accessories or in the hallway. They will be discussed in this article.

Homemade shelves for the hallway: purpose and varieties

The shelves differ in the number of shoe compartments and in style. In addition, they can be either open or closed. They differ in depth, height and a number of other criteria.

One of the most common shelves for shoes is the so-called. It is a full-fledged autonomous structure.

Advice! Even if the space allows you to place several “shoe racks,” it is better to assume that the shelves should fit exactly as many shoes as all family members use in one season. It is much more convenient to keep the rest of the shoes in boxes.

Do-it-yourself shoe racks in the hallway: photos in one or another hallway style

If you make shelves with your own hands, then you have great opportunities to fit them organically into. In this situation, it is much easier to maintain a uniform style for the room.

Let's consider which shelves are best suited for this or that popular interior style.

For what is popular nowadays, shelves made of natural materials. A tree would look especially appropriate. Such wooden shelves can be decorated with carvings and patterns. A two-tier model will look very authentic: the shoes themselves are located on the bottom shelf, and various accessories and small items are located on the top shelf. And if this two-tier shelf is “closed” on top with a “lid”, then it can be used as a convenient one for putting on shoes.

Shelves covered with a lid that extends slightly beyond the edges of the shelves look especially harmonious. Such shelves will fit perfectly into. If you are worried that this functional accessory will look too simple, then keep in mind that this is the main concept of these stylistic trends. If you want something more luxurious for the hallway, then it is better to choose styles such as empire style, baroque or.

Advice! When using wood, keep in mind that it should be well soaked and covered with a protective layer.

Brief educational program: “How to make shelves yourself”

You can make shelves for the hallway yourself. To do this you will need time, patience and minimum required materials and tools.

It all depends on the material used to make the shelves. If you have chosen, then it is advisable to prefer ready-made, processed boards, which can be purchased in modern construction stores. In this case, making a shelf will not cause any particular difficulties. However, if you decide to do everything entirely with your own hands, then you will need the following tools and parts:

  • plane;
  • emery;
  • special glue for wood;
  • metal corners;
  • screwdriver or screwdriver;
  • saw;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • roulette;
  • pencil.

We suggest using standard wooden board from 25 to 35 cm wide and a couple of centimeters thick.

First you need to cut out the vertical side walls. Each of them should be approximately equal to 80-90 cm. Prepare support bars, as well as crossbars. Then start cutting out four pieces that will become the shoe shelves. Their size should be approximately 60-70 cm.

This shelf is also perfect for toys, books, tools, shoes and other things. The shelf is highly mobile, which means that you can place it at any time wherever you might suddenly need it.

Shoe rack carousel (step-by-step photos, drawings)

You can make such a multi-story shelf with rotating shoe shelves using any ready-made cabinet square sizes base, or you can make the cabinet yourself again.

We fix it motionless in the closet metal pipe, and on it we already install rotating round shelves for shoes. We insert pins into these round shoe shelves, on which, in our own words, our shoes will be located.
The author of the shelf (who, unfortunately, is unknown to us) recommends making two types of round shelves, for 9 pairs of shoes (for children) and 12 pairs of shoes (for adults) (see drawings in the photo below). This way, the closet will fit a lot more shoes and its efficiency will increase.

Folding shoe rack

It is known that you can never have too many shoes, especially this topic is very relevant for women. But why is it needed? You can probably get by with a regular, stationary structure. The problem, as always, is free space, in a small apartment there is always not enough space, and in the summer, as you know, the number of shoes used doubles. So a folding portable shelf is perfect as extra bed for storing shoes on summer season. Or another option, suddenly you have guests. In order not to create a dump in the corner of the hallway, just take from secluded corner your folding shelf and order. In general, it’s a useful thing, if you like it, make your own folding shelf not difficult.

The most common tools are a drill, a jigsaw, sandpaper. The materials are shown in the photo, but it is your choice, boards or plywood, see for yourself. The assembly process is shown in step-by-step photos, everything seems to be clear there. You can read the instructions on the website, link under the gallery. In the photo you can see the shelf in the unfolded and folded state. According to the author, if you have all the tools and materials, it will take a maximum of two evenings to make the shelf.

How to make a shelf out of shoe boxes - without nails

Perhaps this will be the most simple shelf have you ever done. So, you need to find five boxes and a can of paint. Then take a brush and paint the container in the color that best suits your interior. When the paint dries, that's it, the shelf is ready.

You just have to decide how to put them. If there are small children in the house, the structure, of course, must be connected with bolts or screws, or even better, attached to the wall, this will be more reliable and safer. But if there are no children, then there is no need to fasten them; the boxes are strong enough. And the main advantage you can change the shape of the structure at least every day. Imagine, every day you have a new shelf and no nails

So, for example, today you have a pyramid, and tomorrow a ladder, depending on your mood.

Folded into a durable design, it is very convenient to store shoes. For variety, you can take one box and put whatever you want.

Well, what do you think of the idea?

Rack shelves made of cardboard boxes do it yourself step by step

Watch the master class on how to make this shoe rack using the photo above.

Cons:

  • not very reliable
  • not strong

Pros:

  • cheap
  • Just

This design uses two types of boxes

  1. these are the big ones from which shelves are made
  2. these are narrow ones from which drawers are made

All boxes are secured with regular tape.

Adviсe:

  • Light items should be placed on the upper shelves, larger and heavier items on the lower ones.
  • when you cut large boxes, as shown in the pictures, then from these scraps you can make additional shelves for small items inside the shelves, for this you just need to make cuts in the trim and connect the scraps with a grid.
  • These scraps can also be used as additional supports inside the boxes, in problem areas.

Cardboard shoe rack

This is the most simple furniture that you've ever done. I present master class on making a shoe rack from cardboard with your own hands , irreplaceable thing for new residents. In short: we make three equal strips of cardboard, press them so that they bend well, using a dull knife. We glue the sheets on one side with tape. We make triangles from the sheets and secure them with tape. Fix the resulting triangles with glue on a sheet of cardboard. The pyramid can be made of any size no matter how many triangles you make, it will be like this. Attach another cardboard sheet on top, this will be the top shelf. Anyone can do this kind of thing. This will come in handy before you buy a locker so that your shoes don’t end up lying around.

But that's not all, if there is very little space, you can make a hanging shoe rack made of cardboard, it's even easier. You need to make a rectangle from a sheet of cardboard, like in the photo. Choose the size yourself, depending on what kind of shoes you will put there. Then lay out the box again, and using it as a template, cut the blanks. Then make as many pockets as you need, insert them into each other and secure them at the back with tape. The shelf can be hung on the wall or on the door.

Of course, not very good for winter shoes good option, but in the summer it’s very convenient, you’ll save a lot of space.

Secret door - closet and a shelf for shoes

If you want to do secret room, or hide some unsightly part of the apartment in order to make a more aesthetic appearance, then follow the step-by-step photo instructions below.

Don't use loops because your the structure must withstand up to 450 kg! The author of the photo advises using bolts as hinge pins, which should be welded into the frame.

IMPORTANT fix the frame strictly vertically, for this you should use a plumb line. First attach the top mount to the ceiling, and then plumb the bottom mount (see photo).

See step-by-step manufacturing photos:

Don't forget to install wooden door stopper (see photo). Attach a magnet to this stop to keep the door pressed against the wall. Be careful when choosing a magnet; it should attract neither too strongly nor too weakly.

IMPORTANT!!!: according to the rules fire safety: all entrances to rooms containing ovens or gas stoves And gas pipes, must be clearly visible.

Unusual shoe shelves

with your own hands

Just as a theater begins with a coat rack, so does any apartment with a hallway. Shoe racks are not just a useful piece of furniture, they are part of the interior design, so if you are a hobbyist creative solutions, you can start surprising guests from the hallway. In this collection you can see some interesting ideas unusual shelves for shoes .

Schemes and drawings of shelves for shoes

A shoe rack is not a closet or a sofa, it is easy to make with your own hands. It is much easier to do this if you already have a ready-made project. Of course, you can draw a sketch yourself if you have experience in this matter, but it’s easier to use ready-made diagrams; why reinvent the wheel.

For example, using this scheme to make a shoe cabinet is not at all difficult

There are many types of shoe shelves - The main ones include Bona, Slim, Coupe, Cabinet, or shoe rack - shoe rack.

For the manufacture of some of them, various mechanisms are often needed, but today it is not a problem to buy any fittings in a furniture store. To save space often use slim shelves, although they have design features, if desired, such a shelf can be made independently. Of course, making it yourself is quite difficult; you need to purchase a lot of different accessories. It’s easier to buy ready-made ones and assemble them yourself. You can see how this is done in this detailed diagram.

In this collection you can find schemes various types shelves If you have experience with wood structures, these drawings can help with proportions and dimensions.

Save space !

When planning the interior of hallways, one problem most often arises - not enough space. To save a little space, you can use various tricks, for example, here is one of the methods, though only for women's shoes with thin heels. This feature of women's shoes can be used. Attach a long handrail to the wall at a distance of 5 centimeters and the shoes will be held solely by the heel.

If such an original shelf is beautifully decorated, it looks very original

We learn about the huge variety of shelves for only when we start looking suitable option milking my hallway. Closed and open, one, two and who knows how many tiers, hanging, floor, wall - in general, very different. To get an idea, check out this gallery

And this is only a small part of the options

Caring for shoes piled up is problematic. To prevent boots from getting dirty, suffering from dampness and dust, you need to install. The easiest way is to purchase ready-made solution, but this is not always possible.

Here we will look at an alternative route - manufacturing is not simple, but shoe racks with my own hands. We have to select tools and materials, determine the dimensions and internal structure. At the end you will find diagrams, drawings and photographs.

The amount of material and set of tools will depend on the chosen design. To make a wooden cabinet you will need the following tools:

  • drills (confirmed, 5 or 8 millimeters);
  • tape measure (square, ruler) and pencil;
  • hammer;
  • screwdriver (can be replaced with a drill);
  • 4mm hex wrench;
  • awl;
  • Forstner drill;
  • template (its task is to mark for drilling).

Of course, if you are going to make a cardboard shoe rack, the set will be different. But more on that a little later.

Do you want a more durable and cheaper shoe rack? Use as a material laminated chipboard sheets. In addition, you will need accessories:

  • pens;
  • euroscrews;
  • shoe rack mechanism (if provided);
  • screws;
  • decorative supports (you can do without them, but with supports the structure will look more solid).

For the carousel shelf you will need metal pins (round shelves are attached to them) and a vertical pin. You don't need any special tools (except a drill). The complete list of materials for the “carousel” looks like this:

  • round pins (holders);
  • fiberboard disks;
  • plastic tips;
  • steel tube;
  • metal corners;
  • screws (plus lock washers for them);
  • half a liter of primer;
  • machine screws (together with nuts and washers);
  • acrylic paint.

More comfortable solutions are also possible (including leather upholstery). Read about this below, as well as about the sizes of shoe racks you create with your own hands.

Product dimensions

The dimensions of the product depend on the size of the hallway and the needs of the owner. For single people, a small locker nestled in will be enough, but a family of 3-4 people needs a full-fledged shoe rack designed for 20-30 pairs. Store-bought models often turn out to be made in China, whose inhabitants have a strange penchant for miniaturization.

Shoe racks can also be wide. It is difficult to make a cabinet or make one yourself, so it is better to limit yourself to a simple cabinet. The product requirements are:

  • functionality;
  • ergonomics;
  • good ventilation;
  • aesthetics;
  • capacity.

A minimalist shoe drying rack does not require a lot of space. The wall-mounted model is quite small-sized and simple. The parameters can be as follows:

  • facades (curly MDF boards or STRAIGHT chipboard) - 119.5x44.7 centimeters;
  • sidewalls (standard furniture panels) - 118.4x32 centimeters;
  • back wall (thin hardboard) - 119.5x89.5 cm;
  • drawers (can be purchased at furniture stores) - 86.8x10.

There are also more compact solutions. Most of them are mounted on the hallway wall or placed inside a wardrobe (“carousel”). The dimensions of such structures are much smaller.

To pick up ideal option for your hallway, we recommend using special design programs - you can download them and install them on your computer. There are also finished projects, including diagrams, drawings and detailed tables with lists of parts.

How to make a shoe rack yourself

There are different types homemade shoe designs that allow you to optimize the hallway space. Some of the solutions are quite complex - for example, a carousel shoe rack. We will not follow the path of complexity and will deal with the simplest schemes shoe cabinets made from cardboard and wood.

Let's look at an example of manual assembly narrow shoe rack for a bachelor's apartment. This design is designed for a small number of pairs of shoes, and during assembly you will need a drill, a hacksaw and a screwdriver. Here is a list of materials you will need:

  • moisture-resistant plywood (five sheets of 12 mm thickness);
  • long shoe brushes (the quantity depends on the length of the shoe rack, the bristles should be stiff);
  • wood screws;
  • spikes (6 pieces, 6 mm each);
  • acrylic paint;
  • construction adhesive (for wood);
  • brush;
  • transparent moisture-resistant varnish;
  • dowels

The shelf can be painted with gouache or acrylic - it doesn’t matter. The brushes here serve as shoe holders. The assembly order is as follows:

  1. The block with brushes is assembled. Through holes (6 pieces) are drilled in the plywood edge.
  2. Apply glue to the spikes and insert them into the resulting holes.
  3. Similar “holes” are made in plywood C, which is connected to sheet B. You can press the parts with clamps - then the glue will set faster.
  4. Element D is attached to an existing structure.
  5. The handles of the brushes are cut off (you can buy brushes without handles - it will be cheaper).
  6. A pair of through holes are drilled into the brushes, after which they are fastened along the entire length of the structure (a centimeter from the edge) using short self-tapping screws.
  7. Unused parts A and E are drilled.
  8. All shelf fragments are fastened with self-tapping screws.
  9. The penultimate touch is painting the shoe rack. You can involve little family members in the process. Decoupage and other creative experiments are welcome.
  10. The hallway wall is being drilled. Dowels are installed and the shelf is hung.

We have also prepared several for you useful videos who will teach you how to create shoe racks with your own hands.

Narrow shoe racks - best solution for small hallways? If you don't believe me, watch the following video:

The following video will also tell you how to assemble a shoe rack with your own hands:

Do you want a shoe rack for more comfortable removal of boots? Then the following video will definitely be useful to you:

You can create hanging and floor-standing shoe racks with your own hands from cardboard. The hanging shelf is made of thick, high-strength cardboard; you can store demi-season pairs of shoes in it. You will need an unnecessary box (it’s easy to ask for one in stores) and other things:

  • furniture knife (can be replaced with large scissors);
  • wood glue;
  • large tape;
  • ruler and pencil;
  • stapler (the staples for it should be large in size).

The cardboard is laid out on flat surface, after which you divide it (using a pencil) into several rectangular sections. The height will be 30 centimeters, and the length will be comparable to the width of the cardboard. The rectangle is divided in half and bent - the side walls must be filled with equal triangles (the vertices will point down).

By bending the rectangles, you form boxes. Cover their edges with tape to protect them from moisture. The drawers are inserted into the grooves of the “neighbors” and secured with wood glue - this is how you get a single structure. Attach hooks on top and secure the product to the wall.

A floor-standing shoe rack is formed in a similar way, but it is not attached to the wall.

The disadvantage of this solution is its extreme instability. Cardboard is a lightweight material, so floor shoe racks can be knocked over by hitting the edge of a coat.

Cardboard shoe rack

Made of wood

Using wood and metal strips as the main components, you can build a fairly stable shoe rack that deserves its place in the hallway. You can save money by replacing wood with chipboard or fiberboard. The thickness of the sheets should be about one and a half centimeters.

You will also need special strips made of stainless steel. The shape of the planks is cylindrical. In total you need to get eight of these parts.

Please note: the cross-sectional diameter of the planks is two centimeters. Fasteners and clamps will also be useful to you (flanges and screws). Here is a list of tools for making it yourself:

  • pencil and ruler;
  • screwdriver;
  • grinding machine;
  • jigsaw;
  • nails;
  • compass;

So, how to make a shoe cabinet out of wood with your own hands? The process begins by cutting out the back and sides. Usually the height of the shoe rack is arbitrary, and the width is 23 centimeters. This will allow you to make a two-level shoe rack.

The back wall is cut out at the very beginning - it will consist of a pair of thin strips. The width of the shelf should be 20 centimeters. After cutting out the fragment with a jigsaw, you need to sand the edges and work on the side walls.

First you need to mark a couple of rectangles of the same type. Use a pencil, compass and ruler to mark the front roundings. The rounds are cut out with a jigsaw, then the walls are sanded and fastened into a single section.

The final assembly of the shoe rack with your own hands. Here's the procedure:

  1. The flange attachment points are marked.
  2. The side walls are fastened together using planks.
  3. The back walls are nailed to back side(end) of the sides.

If desired, the scheme can be complicated. As an option, replace the laminated chipboard with wood and upholster top part skin.

What will you do with shoes in the hallway when their chaotic placement is simply annoying when entering the front door? That's right, you need it DIY shoe rack! Of course, you will have to show a little imagination, stock up on some materials for work, and also pick up necessary tool, but the result will clearly satisfy you.

It's a funny thing, but this project is highly customizable to your design and needs. You can make this shoe rack to fit perfectly to the size of your shoes and the place where you intend to put them.

Materials

To build a shelf for shoes you need:

  • a large piece of thick plywood;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • 4 furniture casters;
  • drill;
  • roulette;
  • file

We measure and decide

We start by studying the dimensions of the area where the shelf will be placed and determining how long it will be. We measure the longest pair of shoes to get the depth. A tape measure and pencil are simply irreplaceable at this stage.

Cut and sand

After all planned measurements have been carried out. With the length and depth carefully marked on our sheet of plywood we proceed to cut out the two boards. We used circular saw, but in general you can just use a file here. Then we sand it jagged edges using sandpaper.

Inner size

Next, we measure the height of the boots and by adding a few centimeters we transfer these dimensions to wooden rounds. Cut off four equal parts. After the tallest rounds are ready, we begin to work on the inside of the shoe rack. We would like shoes, sneakers, and sandals to fit inside the shelf. Thus, by measuring a pair of high-heeled shoes and booties, we obtained the required height and determined the length of the inner shelf. It will be placed inside, between a pair of high boots at either end.

Cut parts

We cut the shelves to a certain length and the dowels to a certain height. You can see everything we got in the photo below. What you get depends only on the desired length and height of your shelf. And of course from imagination.

Drill and screw in screws

We pre-drill holes at each end of the dowels and at the four corners of each board. It is necessary to drill, because without preliminary holes you run a very high risk of splitting the wood when you screw in the self-tapping screw.

Then we screwed self-tapping screws into the boards and dowels. We start the connection from the inside and end with the highest dowels and long boards.

Here it is, an almost finished shelf. All that remains is to screw on the wheels as desired, or you can leave it like that. We thoroughly sand all uneven places and also remove burrs.

Our four wheels are bolted on. For each wheel, you need to drill four holes for the bolts in the bottom board. We tighten the nuts of the bolts using a suitable wrench.

Finished shelf

Did you tighten the wheels? All that remains is to install it in its rightful place and fill it with shoes! You can, of course, also cover the top board with a soft backing, which will turn the shelf into a comfortable bench, but this is already a solution for aesthetes.

Leaving the wood on top will make the shelf more versatile. This way you can always place your shoes there, or use it as a stand for a bag of groceries. Or maybe paint it? In general, it's up to you!

What a shelf, you can make a whole closet with your own hands. If you know how!
