Living room with large windows: a lot of light and air

As a rule, panoramic windows are installed in living rooms located in luxury penthouses or country cottages, adding more space and light to them. These designs are distinguished by their versatility, because they can perfectly fit into both modern design and classic styles. However, when planning such an interior, some details should be taken into account:
- In rooms with high ceilings, elongated and narrow openings will look good, and in rooms with a standard height - large windows that occupy the entire width of the wall.
- It is not customary to use curtains or drapes in this design. The only thing that is permissible is to hang curtains attached to the edges of the frame.
- It is not worth cluttering the living room space with a large amount of furniture; it is better to stop at a few practical and functional items, for example, a coffee table and a large sofa.
The arrangement of all interior elements is usually carried out in such a way that in each of the living room zones you can calmly admire the view from the window. True, in small city apartments this can cause some difficulties. In order to provide a comfortable viewing angle here, you can place a TV next to the windows, and put a sofa or an armchair in front of them. In this case, being in the recreation area, the owners of the house can watch their favorite programs and at the same time observe the urban landscape.
In spacious living rooms of country houses, in which windows are installed on two opposite walls, a U-shaped or angular arrangement of furniture is used. Sofas and armchairs are usually placed near a TV or fireplace in such a way as to provide good visibility of the landscape outside the window.
If the panoramic glazing in the house has only one side of the living room, then several areas for relaxation can be distinguished in it. In this case, one area can be arranged near the fireplace, and the other, near large windows.
