One has only to hear the phrase “I have a kitchen without a window,” the majority immediately have a bunch of thoughts about what kind of room it is: dark, crammed with furniture, it’s impossible to turn around, walk or sit, and even more so it’s impossible to eat normally in it. But this is not the case.

If you approach the design of a small kitchen without a window correctly and wisely, then it can safely give odds to any standard and spacious kitchen.

But before you start repairing and arranging the kitchen, you should draw up a detailed plan, taking into account the following rules:

Ventilation

Since the kitchen is without a window, the flow of fresh air and the removal of excess moisture are limited into it. All this together can cause the growth of mold and mildew.

Therefore, in such a kitchen, an extractor hood must be present and, preferably, there are two of them.

For better ventilation, a fan is installed on the ceiling.
