Walkthrough of the game Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Walkthrough Need For Speed The Run

The driving features of each car are most easily felt by touch, live during the game: here, as with real cars, here, as in life, there are no clear answers. And, of course, sharing our feelings with you, we cannot do without analogies with the last game in the series: NFS: Underground 2.

The first thing you notice literally immediately is skidding. They have become noticeably stronger, and even slow all-wheel drive vehicles begin to “drive” on sharp turns. It is especially dangerous when, during a turn, you receive a blow to the body, even a weak one - at first you have to make considerable efforts so as not to fly off the road and not to turn your rear bumper around in the direction of travel. However, it’s quite easy to get used to and adjust, and after half an hour of driving you don’t feel it.

New: the time slowdown mode works in much the same way as a nitrogen gas boost - it accumulates over time and is activated for the duration of pressing the [O] button. At the same time, time around you begins to flow much more slowly, allowing you to thoughtfully pass a particularly difficult turn.

The second important detail is the feeling of speed. It seems that in Most Wanted the “kilometers” on the speedometer have come into line with the real state of affairs. Here you will no longer see a flower bed slowly floating on your right hand, while according to instruments our speed is about 60 km/h. No, everything is fair. 100 km/h is fast, 150 is very fast, and at 250 you need to seriously concentrate and watch the road rapidly rushing under your wheels.

Car collisions are completely different. A simple trick - hooking the bumper of the car in front in order to turn it into the nearest fence - no longer works. Contact with the rear bumper of an opponent will result in nothing but a loss of your own speed - the law of conservation of momentum has not been canceled here. If simply competing with your opponent in speed is not interesting, you can try another maneuver: carefully push him sideways into the oncoming lane, into the forehead of some “civilian” vehicle, like a concrete mixer. Or, as an option, into a tree, a concrete fence, or some other solid object, which he planned to drive around in the immediate vicinity of our car. But keep in mind that the physics in the game have become noticeably more honest, and you won’t be able to juggle other people’s cars without the threat of losing speed.

Finally, the obstacles. On the contrary, they have become much more “friendly”. Cardboard boxes, poles and road signs, benches and fences are demolished easily and naturally, with almost no threat to speed. This is especially noticeable with bollards dividing adjacent lanes where changing lanes is prohibited: it is quite possible to knock over all of them without ending up last on the list of riders. However, a lot depends on the enemy. If you go through the game, competing with computer opponents, without really paying much attention to such trifles, then a live player, avoiding even minor obstacles, can call on you to be careful.

Secrets of the big city

Whatever you say, our city is really big. As you progress through your career, previously blocked areas open up, but even in the “initial delivery” it is extensive enough that the various landscapes do not have time to become an eyesore.

The city map is available by pressing the key. Key points are marked on the map: racing venues, police “radars” and special buildings: a store, a car dealership and our shelter. By clicking on any of them, you can turn on GPS - an automatic route calculation system. After this, a giant arrow overhead will accompany us on the road, indicating the direction and warning us about turns.

Note: the theater begins with a hanger, the city with a monument, the dance with a stove, and the path of an illegal race car driver begins with a shelter (Safe House). Here you can instantly move from any place on the map, and from here - to the location of any of the current races or provocations. In addition, all your cars are parked in the shelter.

It’s worth saying a few words about the shops. Their range of services has expanded significantly, so everything you may need for any of your cars can be ordered from the same storefront. Paint, body parts, external finishing or internal mechanisms, in a word, everything, except perhaps the cars themselves - then you’ll have to get to a car dealership.

Purchasing parts not only affects performance, but also opens up the possibility of tuning (Performance Tuning), available in the menu while driving. Tuning, on the one hand, is very simple, on the other - incredibly complex. In the sense that changing parameters using “sliders” is not difficult, but in order to achieve the desired performance, experience and attention will be required.

Police

The law enforcement officers in the game are not decorations. It is simply impossible not to take them into account, and they will not let you forget about themselves for a minute. At first, it’s quite easy not to run into them, and when you encounter a patrol car, you can quickly get rid of the pursuer. But the further you go, the more difficult it will be to do this: it all depends on the level of wantedness (Heat).

We start from the first level: a randomly encountered cop, for the sake of order, will set off on a sluggish chase, and in extreme cases, he will call a couple of friends on the radio, but nothing more serious. At the second level, instead of striped white and black wrecks, black ones will take to the streets, but also with flashing lights, and the first obstacles will appear on your intended route. The third level is racing sports cars, painted in black and white police colors. This is already serious, they are very nimble, there are a lot of them, and they have a lot of enthusiasm. The fourth level will bring with it helicopters and spiked ribbons, and on the fifth our old enemy, Sergeant Cross, will join the chase. Behind him are jeeps traveling in pairs, crowds of pursuers and all kinds of obstacles. Finally, the seventh - only jeeps: this special level, which you'll most likely only encounter on optional tracks.

Note: the radar at the top of the screen warns you that a police car is driving nearby. The more often the indicator flashes, the closer the patrol is hanging around, and the arrow indicates the approximate direction.

It is important to keep in mind that the police are essentially looking not for you, but for your car - after all, it is difficult for them to see the driver through the windshield. As soon as you change your car, your wanted level will again drop to one, and while the “old” car is in the garage, the excitement around it gradually subsides and the level of pursuit itself decreases.

There is a cheaper option - repaint the body in a different color, change stickers and wheels. This will not give a 100% effect, but it will reduce the level by several points.

If you are caught, you can pay yourself off in two ways: money or a “fast release ticket.” The first method is legal, so the wanted level of the “liberated” car drops to one. The second one is illegal, so the police will be looking for you no less than before. If you can't buy the car, it will be confiscated.

In addition to the most exciting chases, there is another benefit from the police. By getting into conflicts with the law, you increase your rating among racers. This is something like a “baptism of fire”, a kind of “milestones” on the path of a self-respecting illegal motorist. So, in particular, in order to qualify for another place on the black list (see below), you will certainly need to commit a number of daring offenses, coming into conflict with the authorities a certain number of times and getting away with it.

Key events

Speeding (Photo Ticket). This is the only “absentee” conflict that does not require close contact with law enforcement forces. Simply speeding is enough. Drive under the camera faster than a certain speed, and you're done.

Prize points (Bounty). Prize points are awarded for “exploits” on the road. This is something like a reputation in narrow circles or a measure of indignation of the police - take it as you see fit. By choosing this event, you find yourself on the road in close proximity to a police car and must escape pursuit, first gaining the required number of points in a way convenient for you.

Infractions. As with reward points, it all starts with the pursuit. And all subsequent events will also begin this way, so we will not discuss this separately further. So, your task: to commit a certain number of different offenses. Rammed a police car? Wonderful. Did you go off the road? Amazing! Resisted arrest? Damaged private property? Did you exceed the speed limit? All this will count towards you - the main thing is that it is not on the police record.

Cost to State. Prosecuting violators is an expensive endeavor. Broken cars, wasted time, policemen involved in the chase... Accountants devoid of emotions painstakingly record all these expenses, so that the phrase could be heard on the morning news: “Over the past six months, street racers have caused damage to the state in the amount of...” That’s great. Our task is to ensure that the figure is not less than indicated in the conditions of this event. And, of course, ultimately escape police retribution.

Roadblocks. When the wanted level reaches at least 2, the police will begin to put up barriers on the roads. These are police cars, loaded, in all likelihood, with sandbags or canisters of mercury (they are noticeably heavier than “mobile” official vehicles). It’s not difficult to pass them, the main thing is to accelerate better and not drive into the side standing car. We will pass the agreed number of obstacles, “lose” our pursuers - and the next “feat” can be considered accomplished.

Spike Strips. Here you will need a search level of at least four, so that the brutal police block your road with special cynicism - installing spiked stripes across the roadway. The essence of the task is to overcome the specified number of such obstacles.

Damage to police cars (Trade Paint). Literally translated - "exchange of paint." When escaping pursuit, you need to hit at least so many police cars, and in any way - ramming, hitting the side or completely disabling them.

Long chase (Pursuit Time). The most difficult thing in this exercise is not to break away from your pursuers too quickly, but also not to get caught, of course. You need to constantly maintain balance, disabling and blocking “extra” machines, but without getting carried away, so that they don’t inadvertently run out. If this suddenly happens, immediately drive to the nearest busy intersection, knocking down everything you can reach along the way. Maybe they'll notice.

Pursuit Evasion. There is no need to waste time looking at the statistics of the chase; there is no need to deliberately complicate your life and run into trouble. On the contrary, you need to get rid of the “tail” as quickly as possible. Use Nitro gas and smash cars with flashing lights to pieces.

We're flying away

The higher the level of harassment, the more difficult it becomes to avoid arrest. At a certain stage, speed alone becomes absolutely insufficient, and you have to resort to all sorts of tricks to get rid of the annoying beeping “tail”.

  1. Obstacles. There is on the map special places, marked during the chase with a red triangle icon. This scaffolding, massive but fragile signs, gas station canopies, water towers and even yachts on supports - in a word, everything that is ready to collapse at the slightest touch, cutting off the path of the pursuers. But be careful not to fall into your own trap: if a mountain of collapsing rubbish covers you, arrest cannot be avoided.
  2. Timber and car transporters. These are “civilian” vehicles - trucks with trailers, the contents of which will readily roll onto the roadway from a strong impact. You shouldn’t expect that this technique will instantly save you from being chased, but it can provide some time gain. In addition, the gap between the axles is wide enough to guess the moment and slip through there. And then it’s gloating to imagine how the artificial intelligence of the computer police will blush with effort, trying to repeat our maneuver.
  3. Shelters. When the police have lost sight of you for a while, the Evade “thermometer” has reached its maximum and the Cooldown stage has begun, you can slow down at the side of the road and wait until they stop looking for you. But time will fly by much faster if you stop by one of the shelters kindly offered by the developers. On the map they are indicated by dotted circles.
  4. Inaccessible places. This, of course, is more of an unforeseen possibility than a planned detail of the map, but... There are places where the police cannot reach. For example, a well-known place at the bus station a minute's drive from Safe House to the southeast, where it is easy to ride onto the roof or drive onto the buses standing in a row.

Competitions

Of course, everything is not limited to the police. Whatever Sergeant Cross may imagine, the position on the blacklist will be determined by the competition between the racers. Since the time of NFSU2, the list of possible ways to measure strength has changed somewhat, although the main variants of the rules have remained unchanged. So:

Ring track (Circuit). Classic. A closed track along which you need to drive several laps, competing with opponents only in speed. The tooltip displays the number of laps completed out of the total number.

Sprint. Also a classic. It differs from the roundabout only in the absence of a “ring”, that is, it is walked once from end to end, from start to finish. In the tooltip you will constantly see the exact percentage of the road left behind.

Acceleration (Drag). Relatively straight route, which is run with a manual gearbox. The point is to change gears in time to achieve the highest speed and finish first. Any collision results in automatic elimination from the race. It is important to keep in mind that turning the steering wheel here does not turn the front wheels, but gives the command “change lane to the left/right”.

Lap Knockout race. A more complicated version of Circuit. Not only do you have to finish first, you also have to avoid being last at the end of each lap. A rider who completes a lap at the rear is eliminated from the competition. Accordingly, the number of circles is always equal to the number of participants, so that at the end there is only one left.

Single race (Tollbooth). We have no obvious rival here. Instead, there are checkpoints located on the highway at some intervals, as well as a timer that inexorably counts down the remaining time. Passing through a checkpoint adds additional time, which should be enough to get to the next one. And so on until the end of the route.

Speedtrap. Along the route of the racing procession there are automatic cameras that record the speed of passing cars. The winner is the one whose sum of speeds recorded by cameras is greater. But that's not all. Until the racer reaches the finish line, he is regularly penalized for delay, so there is no need to relax in the intervals between “checkpoints”.

When planning to participate in a race, pay attention to such a parameter of the route as the likelihood of encountering the police (Cop Probability). Not that it should be avoided at all, just be prepared that if you "reel" the cops during the competition, you will have to get rid of them at the end of the competition.

If police involvement is almost inevitable, try this trick: let the enemy pass a little ahead and follow. The patrol will begin to pursue the leader, not paying the slightest attention to us. Then you can enter the game in full force, overtake this howling procession and fly at full speed to the finish line.

Promotion on the blacklist

The list of the most wanted racers takes place in the game, which in detective novel about the stolen diamond is devoted to this very diamond. In other words, everything revolves around him. It (the list) lives in the main computer of the city police department, but cunning hackers from among the same speed lovers climb through this database as if it were their own “My Documents” folder. For this is the only documented and objective rating, table of ranks and universal criterion. After all, the one whom the police are looking for in the first place, of course, stands head and shoulders above all the others - those whom they are “simply pursuing.”

But nothing comes for free. In order to oust a criminal who has established himself there from a cherished position, you need to prove not in word, but in deed, that his track record is a mere trifle compared to the chaos that you are capable of causing. And, of course, overtake your opponent in conditions that are comfortable for him.

So, the blacklist promotion algorithm looks like this. To get the right to fight with the next racer, you need to win several “simple” competitions (Race Events) with unknown car enthusiasts, commit a predetermined number of provocations (Milestone Events) and collect the specified number of points (Bounty). Finally, having fulfilled these conditions and received an invitation from your opponent, deal with him, cross him off the list and move up a step.

This is important: the winners, as you know, are entitled to laurels and trophies. Nobody promises us Lavrov, but there are trophies. After each defeated person on the “black list”, you can choose a reward by turning over several yellow tokens. “Under the lid” there may be a ticket for free travel from the police station to the street, a unique item, or even the loser’s personal car.

Now let's take a closer look at our favorites. The conditions of the competition are listed in the following order: [ Race Events / Milestone Events ] Bounty.

1. Clarence Callahan (Razor)

Car: BMW M3 GTR

Strength: everything

Competition conditions: [ 9 / 5 ] 10000000

He rose to the top of the most wanted list thanks to our car, and now roams the streets like he owns them. Razor will stop at nothing to retain his honorary title. Remember: everything he says serves the sole purpose of demoralizing, causing anger, irritation, hatred... Don't believe him.

2. Toru Sato (Bull)

Car: Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

Strength: sprinting

Competition conditions: [ 8 / 5 ] 7.550000

Without Razor's help, Tohru would still be hanging somewhere on the docks, not dreaming of any prizes or titles. Now he believes that he has finally received the recognition he deserves, and is proud beyond all reasonable measure. Besides everything else, he doesn’t worry about anything more than his car, blowing every speck of dust off it and wiping it until it shines. If necessary, bend his bumper, or what?

3. Ronald McCrea (Ronnie)

Car: Aston Martin DB9

Strength: Damage to police cars

Competition conditions: [ 8 / 5 ] 5.550000

Old friend - Ronnie. One of those rich boys who thinks the world revolves entirely around them. He received his car as a gift from his parents on the occasion of his graduation. However, don’t let this relax you - he knows how to drive perfectly.

4. Joe Vega (JV)

Car: Dodge Viper SRT10

Strength: Speeding

Competition conditions: [ 7 / 5 ] 4.050000

It is difficult to understand how this colorful character manages to do everything. He hangs out all night in bars and clubs, and spends his days on the roads in search of adventure. He has countless offenses to his name. The police hate JW, and many race car drivers try in vain to imitate him. His bright green Dodge affects the law enforcement officers like a rag on a bull - they constantly circle around him, but cannot do anything with him.

5. Wes Allen (Webster)

Car: Corvette C6

Strength: avoiding persecution

Competition conditions: [ 7 / 4 ] 3.050000

Webster is a car nut. Wherever he is, his mouth does not close - he never stops talking about speed, performance, tuning, condensation in the carburetor... And if some new idea comes to his mind, then even more so. If Webster isn't on the road, he's probably either in a workshop or an auto shop. His car is tuned to the maximum: perhaps there is nothing left inside it that would not be designed to further increase speed.

6. Hector Domingo (Ming)

Car: Lamborghini Gallardo

Strength: Photo cards

Competition conditions: [ 7 / 4 ] 2.300000

Ming's main pride is his car, which looks as if it had just left the window of a prestigious car dealership. He just doesn't know how to drive slowly, and his photos are clicked in batches by automatic speed monitoring systems. Rumor has it that he received the car as a gift from a rich lady who simply had no one to talk to.

7. Kira Nakazato (Kaze, Kamikaze)

Car: Mercedes-Benz CLK 500

Strength: sacrifice and destruction

Competition conditions: [ 7 / 4 ] 1.680000

Kira is absolutely insane. Where she lacks skill, she will break through with speed, regardless of any obstacles. Don't be fooled by her pretty appearance - underneath she hides an aggressive beast: she will smash to smithereens everything that gets in her way. For example - you and your car. Moreover, Kira will not regret her car for a moment, just to quickly settle scores with her opponent. She would like to get married...

8. Jade Barrett (Jewels)

Car: Ford Mustang GT

Strength: Overclocking competitions

Competition conditions: [ 5 / 4 ] 1.180000

The nickname suits this sultry young lady perfectly - she organically combines the beauty of a precious stone with absolutely stone muscles. She has many kilometers of roads behind her, so don’t even count on any stupidity or mistake on her part. And under the hood of her car lies colossal power.

9. Eugene James (Earl)

Car: Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION VIII

Strength: sprinting

Competition conditions: [ 5 / 4 ] 790000

He comes from the leafy eastern outskirts of the city, but now rides mainly in the coastal area. He deals in imported goods, so if for some reason he leaves the road, it is only to accept the next shipment.

10. Karl Smit (Baron)

Car: Porsche Cayman S

Strength: Offenses

Competition conditions: [ 5 / 4 ] 500000

Carl Smith gave himself the nickname "Baron". In a few words he could be described as: a rich, narcissistic snob. If you believe him, everything that is not a brand is an empty phrase - there is no other way. He also believes that the only good reason for going broke is updating his fleet. And Carl Smith is surprisingly similar to his namesake - John Smith, the hired killer, whose role Brad Pitt recently starred in.

11. Lou Park (Big Lou)

Car: Mitsubishi Eclipse

Strength: Solo time trials

Competition conditions: [ 5 / 3 ] 300000

A strong Korean man considers himself the secret dream of every woman. He's always playing to the crowd. And, despite the fact that he is terrified of the police, he tries not to miss a single race. They also say that its clutch regularly malfunctions, but you shouldn’t count on it. Most likely they are lying.

12. Isabel Diaz (Izzy)

Car: Mazda RX-8

Strength: Elimination races

Competition conditions: [ 4 / 3 ] 180000

Isabelle is definitely someone you don't want to mess with. She has a great understanding of cars, both on the road and in the garage. Her car is exemplary equipped and balanced. Previously, she was one of the many fans of racing, and then she tried her hand, and... and like that kitten from the joke, who at first was afraid of the vacuum cleaner, and then nothing, got involved... By the way, wherever she appears, she is always accompanied by or a friend, or a brother, or an uncle, so be vigilant.

13. Victor Vasquez (Vic)

Car: Toyota Supra

Strength: Long chases

Competition conditions: [ 4 / 3 ] 100000

The thirteenth place for Victor is both happy and not. On the one hand, no one has yet managed to throw him lower, on the other, he himself also cannot move further. He is always tired and irritable, but he knows how to handle his car. And he will definitely deal with anyone who decides to underestimate him.

14. Vince Kilic (Taz)

Car: Lexus IS300

Strength: sprinting

Competition conditions: [ 4 / 3 ] 50000

Vince is not the king of the roads, but rather a petty king. Where he got his nickname remains a mystery, but it was under this name that he entered the black list of street lawlessness. He has complete reciprocity with the police - they equally hate each other. Vince's favorite pastime is driving around the streets, looking for green rookies to show off his racing skills to.

15. Ho Seun (Sonny)

Car: VW Golf GTI

Strong point: circuit tracks

Competition conditions: [ 3 / 3 ] 20000

Hussein is like Hussein, only not Saddam, but just Sonny. He poured so much money into his car that it is not surprising - it runs very quickly. Moreover, Sonny carefully selects and tests all the details before appearing in public with them.

To unlock: Defeat JV, 4th place on the blacklist

Price: $270,000

Year of manufacture: 2005

Engine: 507 hp, 5409 cc

Later, both GT70 and GT90 appeared (though only a prototype), but the numbers in their names had already lost their original meaning.

The model uses an interesting development, the so-called “fuel door”, thanks to which the need for a fuel cap disappears. It is enough just to open it and insert a hose with gasoline - the seal will not be lost in the absence of a cap, thanks to the efforts of Ford technicians.

31. Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

Price: $300,000

Year of manufacture: 2003

Engine: 626 hp, 5493 cc

Drive: rear

There is a story connected with this model. Pole Robert Furtak became the owner of the SLR even before it went into mass production... How did he do it? He assembled it himself!

Since 1999, this person has been following everything related to SLR prototypes - photographs, diagrams. The Polish historian calculated unknown data on the exact dimensions of the future Mercedes by examining toy models released for Christmas. The model was taken as a basis from the early 80s - 500 SEC. Robert borrowed many elements for his SLR from other cars, for example, the hydraulics for the upward-opening doors used to belong to the Mercedes Vito.

As a result, our hero received an outwardly indistinguishable copy of the SLR McLaren with some innovations (he added rear license plate illumination on his own) for only 75,000 euros. It, of course, does not produce the desired 334 km/h and does not accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, but at least it clearly shows that nothing is impossible.

32. Porsche Carrera GT

To unlock: Defeat Ronnie, 3rd place on the blacklist

Price: $280,000

Year of manufacture: 2000

Engine: 558 hp, 5500 cc

Drive: rear

The last car on the main list is the crown of the automotive industry, the maximum that can only be available to a simple racer from Rockport.

The word "Carrera" means "racing" in Spanish, so the purpose of this car is very clear. The V10 engine (5500 cc) with a power of 558 hp, a top speed of 330 km/h and acceleration to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds speak for themselves.

Need for Speed: Underground has a very fun and fairly long career. There are a lot of different complexities in it, but the essence itself is quite simple.

You are an aspiring street racer who needs to prove to everyone what he is worth, that he is capable of defeating the strongest rivals.

Accordingly, in order to complete NFS: Underground, you will need to win all the races that are offered to you. The only exceptions are tournaments, but you will have to win them too. The only difference is that in the case of tournaments, it is not necessary to win every race - it is only important to score more points than your opponents.

One more thing prerequisite for passing NFS: Underground - car tuning. Some races simply won’t allow you to participate if you don’t properly upgrade your car. As a rule, you need to upgrade immediately, as soon as you open one or another performance update. At the same time appearance If you wish, you don’t have to touch the car at all; in the first “Underground” it doesn’t matter at all, essentially.

More general driving tips - on ring roads, slow down in turns, and then immediately start accelerating, having passed their peak stage. Feel free to ram your opponents, try to push them off the road into some kind of obstacle - for example, into city traffic cars.

Try to take shortcuts whenever possible. There are often opportunities to take a shortcut somewhere by turning into some alley - keep an eye on the map and on the objects being destroyed, sometimes the short path is cluttered with all sorts of rubbish.

When drifting, it is important not to rush, but not to hesitate either. You must not touch the sides of the track. The higher the speed, the more points for the skid. The greater the skidding angle, the more points. The longer the skid lasts, the more points you get.

With drag tracks, everything is a little simpler, it is important to simply change gears in time, use the afterburner wisely, and, if necessary, line up immediately behind the opponent in front so that the swirl of air behind him gives you extra acceleration. Well, look ahead - maybe at the most inopportune moment some car will pull out of city traffic or there may be a dead end in your lane right ahead - don’t let your guard down.

In knockout races, it is important to simply arrive every lap, not last. Ideally, grab the leading position and not let go until the finish line.

There are also routes that are extremely difficult to pass without proper skill. A particularly favorite track for many, which has a serial number of 95, and another 102/103 (you can choose which one to take), where there are as many as seven laps.

You need a good concentration of attention - every next lap dulls it, but your opponents rarely make mistakes. The final race is also not the easiest - try to push the Nissan 350Z off the track into some kind of dead end or into oncoming traffic.

In general, the main thing in Need for Speed: Underground is stable victories in races; if they win, the game will be completed without any problems.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is without a doubt the best game in the series. After a long journey of trial and error, the developers finally found the desired “golden mean” between sports and illegal street driving, between racing and tuning, between engines and vinyl stickers. Perhaps, for the first time, all the successful discoveries that have ever appeared in the games of the series were collected in one box, and the innovations that did not justify themselves were all left in the past.

At our service - big city, on whose streets you can drive around with impunity (or almost with impunity) between competitions. The doors of a car store are open before us, where for money you can get everything - from a sticker to a turbo engine. There are 32 cars waiting in the salon, each more beautiful than the other, and fifteen dashing racers are ready to measure their strength with us, so to speak. But the main thing is that there is a goal ahead. The writers really worked hard to slowly, slowly, draw us into the plot. Somewhere - to make you angry, somewhere - to make you smile, someone (we won’t point fingers, but this is Razor) - to hate. And when there is a goal nearby beautiful girl, and the gas pedal is under your foot, there is nothing left but... to win.

Car handling

The driving features of each car are most easily felt by touch, live during the game: here, as with real cars, here, as in life, there are no clear answers. And, of course, sharing our feelings with you, we cannot do without analogies with the last game in the series: NFS: Underground 2. The first thing you feel literally right away is the skidding.

New: The time slowdown mode works in much the same way as nitrogen gas boosting - it accumulates over time and is activated for the duration of the button press. At the same time, time around you begins to flow much more slowly, allowing you to thoughtfully pass a particularly difficult turn. The second important detail is the feeling of speed. It seems that in Most Wanted the “kilometers” on the speedometer have come into line with the real state of affairs. Here you will no longer see how on the right hand floats slowly by flower bed, while according to instruments our speed is about 60 km/h. No, everything is fair. 100 km/h is fast, 150 is very fast, and at 250 you need to seriously concentrate and watch the road rapidly rushing under your wheels. Car collisions are completely different. A simple trick - hooking the bumper of the car in front of you in order to turn it into the nearest fence - no longer works. Contact with the rear bumper of an opponent will result in nothing but a loss of your own speed - the law of conservation of momentum has not been canceled here. If you are not interested in simply competing with your opponent in speed, you can try another maneuver: carefully push him sideways into the oncoming lane, into the forehead of some “civilian” vehicle, like a concrete mixer.

The city map is accessible by pressing the [M] key, and the mouse wheel allows you to smoothly scale it. The map shows key points: racing venues, police “radars” and special buildings: a store, a car dealership and our shelter. By clicking on any of them, you can turn on GPS, an automatic route calculation system. After this, a giant arrow overhead will accompany us on the road, indicating the direction and warning us about turns.

Note: the theater begins with a hanger, the city with a monument, the dance with the stove, and the path of an illegal race car driver begins with a shelter (Safe House). Here you can instantly move from any place on the map, and from here - to the location of any of the current races or provocations. In addition, all your cars are parked in the shelter. It’s worth saying a few words about the shops. Their range of services has expanded significantly, so everything you might need for any of your cars can be ordered from the same storefront. Paint, body parts, external trim or internal mechanisms, in a word, everything except perhaps the cars themselves - here you will have to get to a car dealership. Purchasing parts not only affects performance, but also opens up the possibility of tuning (Performance Tuning), available in the menu while driving. Tuning, on the one hand, is very simple, on the other, incredibly complex. In the sense that changing parameters using “sliders” is not difficult, but in order to achieve the desired performance, experience and attention will be required.

Police

The law enforcement officers in the game are not decorations. It’s simply impossible not to take them into account, and they won’t let you forget about them even for a minute (Tip: There are trash cans near the shelter in Rosewood. If you want to call the cops, crash into them 2-3 times.). At first, it’s quite easy not to run into them, and when you encounter a patrol car, you can quickly get rid of the pursuer. But the further you go, the more difficult it will be to do this: it all depends on wanted level (Heat). This is serious, they are very nimble, there are a lot of them, and they have a lot of enthusiasm. The fourth level will bring with it helicopters and spiked ribbons, and on the fifth our old enemy, Sergeant Cross, will join the chase. Behind him are jeeps traveling in pairs, crowds of pursuers and all kinds of obstacles. Finally, the seventh is Jeeps only: this is a special level that you will most likely only encounter on additional tracks.
Next comes status 8, on which all the cops are stock and the helicopter and spikes, the next 9 is no different from status 6 and the most interesting 10 is there only... Cross cars 8 9 10 can only be obtained with a trainer (because they don’t seem to exist at all)

I think everyone understands how to complete the races, so I will devote several sentences to this topic at the end of the instructions. Now let's look at transport.
There are two options for developing your garage, now I will describe both.

Step 2

Option 1: From the very beginning you are given a cool tuning Nissan 350z and two races are available with it. Of course, it will be unpleasant to read the messages of your opponents, but it is better to complete these two races in this car. Until about 40% of the game is completed, there will be significant problems with money for tuning. When you complete these two races, you will receive an angry message from the owner of the car that it is time to return it, and here you will have to choose your new car. First we choose the Nissan 240sx, don’t be afraid to spend money on tuning, both performance tuning and external tuning are important, after each LGA or URL race a new car will open, drive the Nissan until the Hyundai tiburon GT v6 opens, or if the races are not yet difficulties, wait a little longer, and after 3-4 cars the Toyota Supra will open. You can also tune this car at your discretion, but you won’t be driving it for very long, the Audi TT and Nissan 350z will open soon. If you can, then wait for Nissan, tune the 350Z to the fullest, you will drive it until Nissan opens Skyline GT – R 32. This is the most best car in the game, don’t spare money on it, if you give it a full tuning - be proud, you have the coolest car in the game. Also, if you didn’t take the Audi TT and waited for the 350z, then take one of the three jeeps, it makes no difference which one to take, it’s at your discretion, there is a special type of race for jeeps, it’s also advisable to go through all of them. On Skyline you will go through the entire game to the end, you will have no equal.

Step 3

Now option 2: From the very beginning, choose the Mazda miata MX5 and constantly tune it as new parts arrive and drive it until the Nissan 350z opens, since you will have extra money due to the small number of cars, then it will be easier to buy a jeep from the second sponsor, so you will have three cars in your garage, each of them is suitable for different types of races, then try it yourself, ride them all in turn until you open Skyline, and also finish the game on the skyline.

Step 4

Now, as for the racing.
Drag race: before the start, when the countdown begins, keep the needle at 2-3 thousand rpm, then the car will start without slipping and pick up speed faster, for this, look at the dyno tuning settings, adjust the turbo and engine for such rpm, switch when the green arrow is on When it lights up depends on how you tune the engine. You can also take off at 7-8 thousand rpm, this is, as they say, an ideal start, but it’s not for everyone. Drift: Try to drift along the strip near the side, points will be gained several times faster, but do not hit the wall. URL: If there are two races in a row, do not be afraid to lose one of them, but if you win one of them, then in the second you must come first or second, if you come third you will lose, I’ll explain why this is so: after each race, points are awarded depending on the place that you took in order to win at the end of all races you must have either the most points or equal to the first, then you win. The rest of the races don't need any explanation.

Step 5

Dino Tuning: Perform tuning for each race, the tuning you tune for a race will only be valid during that race. So set up your car differently for each type of race. When you complete the entire game in career mode, not all tuning parts will open, the carbon body will not open, it will only open in free ride mode. If you have any questions about the game, please contact us.

Walkthrough Need for Speed The Run read on our website.

This game is a classic representation of what a racing video game can be, so there are clearly no special plot twists and turns to be expected; we can say that you will move along predetermined rails.

It all starts with the fact that the hero, for whom you will need to play the entire game, his name is Jack Rourke, got into trouble with local bandits, he owes them a tidy sum of evergreens. Now you will see an introductory video, the main character is in a red Ferrari, and now he will be thrown into the press for recycling cars. But it’s clear that our guy is not made by a finger, so before the descent itself, you will have the opportunity to get out of prison. You just need to perform a series of presses on the buttons that will appear on the display. After this, the main character will get out of prison and get behind the wheel of the first car he sees.

Here you will join your first race, in which you will need to escape from the bandits pursuing you. You need to have time to fly in front of the person driving along railway by train.

There will be a video again, in which the hero will meet his old friend, she will promise him that she will cope with the problems that he has encountered. But first, you will need to win a huge event called “The Run” and receive the main prize, which is two and a half million dollars, but you will only receive ten percent of it. Yes, this is such justice.

Accept the offer and choose your first car, and immediately go into battle... or rather, into the race.

Your next goal will be a race of two thousand kilometers, starting from San Francisco and ending in New York, you need to finish first. During this competition, you will drift, drive from point to point, race against time and simply race to the finish line. But the most important thing is the beautiful views of Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago, Cleveland and New York.

At the end of the game, Jack will compete in a racing duel with the head of the Chicago mafia in the person of Marcus Blackwell. You will need to smash your opponent's car to smithereens, get your honestly earned money and finally go home.
