Legion: Alchemy - WoW JP. Alchemy - a profession in WoW Comprehension of alchemy in World War II

Alchemy in the game is also called chemistry - the main one, which creates various potions, infusions and elixirs - which increase the characteristics of characters; capable of changing various reagents: sitihs, metals, stones; also creates a lot of fun things. A very useful profession in the game, and quite in demand for raiders.

The main reagents for alchemists are various herbs in the game, so it's not bad to have a character with a profession. Also, various metals, stones, and even can act as reagents for the alchemist - it all depends on what you want to do. And also silver flasks, which are bought from merchants (often stand near alchemy teachers), necessary for brewing potions, infusions, elixirs.

Alchemy gives a bonus to the characteristics of the character - Mixology, all the flasks that you drink give you more stats than when they are drunk by non-alchemists. Mixology also gives a bonus in the form of an increase in the duration of the time of all infusions and elixirs. In WoW, alchemists can create a philosopher's stone - this is a special accessory (trinket) for alchemists that only they can wear, when wearing a philosopher's stone, the effects of all potions that restore health and mana from the alchemist increase.

Alchemy is not expensive to level. A little tricky to get recipes for leveling - you will have to fly around the world of Azeroth to get the necessary recipes for leveling.

What do alchemists do

As you already understood, alchemists make various potions, infusions, elixirs that increase performance; transmutations and more. Now let's move on a bit to the terminology of alchemy in the game.

  • Elixirs- increase the characteristics of the character, for 1 hour and for the alchemist, thanks to mixology, for 2 hours. Elixirs are of 2 types: protective and combat; combat raise attacking characteristics; protective - protective. Everyone can drink 2 elixirs at the same time, after death the effect of them disappears and you need to drink again. They are not in demand in the game, they are almost useless - the trouble is that the effect disappears after death. The game has infusions for all kinds of characteristics.
  • infusions- similar to elixirs, but they raise only the main characteristics of the characters in the game: intelligence, strength, dexterity, endurance and spirit, so there are not so many types of infusions in the game compared to elixirs. After the death of the character, the effect does not subside. You can drink only one infusion. The effect lasts 1 hour, for an alchemist 2 hours.
  • Potions(in the game they call sweats) - increase your characteristic, depending on the potion, for 25 seconds, but the increase is very high - for frequent one potion increases the characteristic as 5 infusions !!! It's a lot, trust me. You can only drink once per battle. Also, some potions can remove negative effects, heal, restore mana, and much more.

Alchemists can make a Phial of the Sands - a mount - a Sandstone Dragon, which any character (not even an alchemist) can turn into and carry players on themselves - alchemists can "dig" a recipe for a dragon using a profession.

Transmutations - alchemists can transmute elements and metals, turn some metals into others (copper into gold, for example) and elements (fire into water).

Cauldrons - can create a cauldron from which each raider can take a flask. It is more profitable to create a cauldron than for each raider to cook for himself on the 1st bank.

Fun things - they cook "chemistry" that changes the appearance of the character - increases it, reduces it, makes a statue out of the character and other various visual effects.

Alchemy Specializations World of Warcraft

Upon reaching a certain level of alchemy skills and character level, you can take a quest from the alchemy teachers to select the specialization of alchemy. Specialization gives a bonus in the form of a chance to create an additional number of transmutation potions of elixir flasks from the usual set of reagents - procs. In other words, say, for example, you brew 10 infusions, you have the master of elixirs - if you are lucky you can brew not 10, but 11 or 12 or 13….50 infusions. When taking a certain specialization and creating an "item", from 1 to 5 bonus "items" can be created.

Alchemists have 3 "mastery" specializations:

  • Potion Master - When creating potions, a chance to create additional potions.
  • Flask Master - Chance to create additional Flasks
  • Transmutation Master - A chance to create additional elements or metals.

Which "skill" to choose is up to you. But a little tip, if you have a Jewelcrafting character, it's worth taking a transmutation to turn stones.

Who should take alchemy

Alchemy is a great profession for both twink and maine. It will save you a lot of money, due to the fact that the duration of the cans on you has been increased. It is easily pumped, does not require large expenditures of gold for pumping. You can upgrade by buying reagents at the auction, or you can collect them yourself.

In the event that you are downloading alchemy for a small character, the potions you made will be useful to you in pumping. You can simultaneously download a profession and a character without straining.

If you are, goblin alchemy is the best choice due to their racial bonus to this profession - Entertaining Alchemy, which increases your skill in alchemy.

One big benefit of alchemy for raiders is a cauldron that you can set for the entire raid. Alchemy will raise your value for the raid, raise your value in the eyes of the raid leader.

Earning gold on alchemy

Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to make money on low-level potions and infusions, there is no demand for them. But an alchemist can consistently make money on high-level chemistry, which is always in demand.

At auction, infusions are the most expensive, but the demand for them is not high. Potions are cheaper, but demand is high. Transmutation is very expensive at the beginning of content and patches, and at the end it drops in price. But if you have a transmutation master taken from you, you can sell your transmutation "skill" to other players.

Leveling the first character for a new player is an adventure.
Pumping the second character - you can say training.
Pumping the third, fourth, etc. - flour..

In order to make this stage of character development more effective and interesting, I have made for you (and for myself too) a selection of the most useful “tricks”, without which no one really wants to download. And with them - much faster and more efficient (in terms of damage and survivability).

A selection of the most useful for fast, pleasant and problem-free pumping.

Pumping acceleration.

1. Family (hereditary) things.

Heirloom items that can be bought by any other character (easiest to collect at maximum level) give a total increase of +40% to experience gain, which means you save 40% of the time spent.

Head +10%
Shoulders +10%
Pants +10%
Cloak +5%
Ring +5%

Available to any character in the collection section, they have characteristics that change in proportion to the level, which allows you not to think about improving equipment during pumping.

Heirloom items can be enchanted and sent along with them to any other character, including to other game worlds, and even to a character from another faction.

At the moment, some of these things can be purchased for gold and for honor points (as an alternative, for currency from the Darkmoon Fair or from the Argent Rally). The rest are obtained for completing not the easiest achievements, as well as for completing tasks for your fleet.

2. Standards for experience and reputation.

Purchased for gold from a guild vendor if you have a certain reputation with the guild, which swings pretty quickly on any quests, especially if you have a guild tabard sold there.

Standards add 5 to 15% to experience (the best of the standards for today is the Battle Standard of Coordination), but have a limited range and a cooldown of 10 minutes. Especially effective on large crowds of monsters.

3. Elixir for accelerated pumping.

8. Stealth Man 54.

Stealth Man 54 is created by engineers or in an engineering shop. Can be used from level 90. Useful for all non-stealth classes (i.e. useless only for rogues and druids). Allows you to leave the character for a long time anywhere in the game, making him hidden. At the beginning of the movement, invisibility falls off only after 4 seconds. In many situations, simply irreplaceable thing!

9. Anti-control potions.

Already from level 20, a potion of freedom of action is available (gives immunity to slowdowns and stuns for 20 seconds. The effect decreases as the character levels up. From level 47, an unstoppable potion is available, from level 91 its Draenic version. They are an excellent alternative or an addition to the PvP accessory to remove control.

10. Runic Scrolls of Fortitude.

Adds stamina to all members of a party or raid. The range includes scrolls for , , levels. Stacks with any other buffs except Priest and Warlock buffs.

Damage increase.

High damage is faster destruction of enemies, which results in faster and more problem-free pumping.

1. Elixirs.

They are divided into combat and security. Both can be applied. Created by alchemists. At the moment, the game has a large assortment of practical for a penny, with any characteristics suitable for your class. Many players and guild banks have stocks of unclaimed elixirs left after leveling alchemy.

2. Infusions.

Flasks differ from elixirs in that the effect persists after death. The first flasks can be found for characters level 45-50, but the ingredients and recipes for many of them are still rare. More popular are the infusions of Northrend (for characters from lvl 70-75), Cataclysm (from lvl 80) and Pandaria (from lvl 85). The latter, thanks to scaling, are effective for characters up to level 94! Draenor flasks give the best effect since 95.

3. Scrolls of inscribers.

They cost pennies. Replace infusions and elixirs. Less effective for characters above level 70 than elixirs, but much cheaper. There are options for scrolls even for 5 lvl.

4. Short-term strengthening potions.

Created by alchemists, they give a decent buff by plus to the required characteristic for 15-25 seconds. There are versions for level 50 (quite rare, like Potion of Insane Strength), levels 70, 80, 85, and 90. In a long fight (bosses or elite mobs) it is possible to use 2 potions in a row. The first is a second before the fight, after which the cooldown begins, the second after.

5. Drums of forgotten kings.

Drums of Forgotten Kings are crafted by leatherworkers, provide +4% to all primary stats for 30 minutes, stack with any other buffs (except Druid's Paw), are inexpensive, and work for characters level 80+.

6. Drums of rage/fury.

Fury Drums replaces the effect of heroism (+25% to attack speed and casting spells) and allows it to be used by those classes that do not have this same heroism.

The effect applies to all party members.. Can be used with potions, flasks, etc.! Available for characters from any level up to 90! The Draenic version has the same effect, but works on character levels 90 to 100.

7. Alternatives to potions/flasks.

A crystal of madness for the most economical players who do not want to spend gold on flasks and potions. Obtained on the Timeless Isle in the cave of spirits by simply collecting crystals. Grants +22 to +57 to all primary stats, but has a 15 minute cooldown and expires upon death. Works from level 85.

The Draenic version of Oralius' Whispering Crystal can be obtained by completing a quest in your garrison's tavern. Works on the same principle as the crystal of insanity, but gives +100 to the main characteristics of characters from level 90.

8. Food!

Ignoring such a simple way to increase damage / survivability is not worth it. There is a huge range of food in the World of Warcraft, from very rare to such that there is nowhere to go. Especially if you play Panda, which has a useful effect from food 2 times higher than others!

Moving around the world.

The faster you move, the faster you level up!

1. Stone of return to the tavern!

The most important thing in my opinion, in terms of quickly moving around the different locations in the game. At the moment, the best places to bind the stone are taverns in the main cities of Pandaria - Shrine of Seven Stars (for the Horde) and Shrine of Two Moons (for the Alliance).

These Sanctuaries have portals to all of your faction's main four cities, as well as neutral Shatratt and Dalaran. Also in a couple of seconds you can get to the bank, auction (but only if you are an engineer), transmogrifier, vault of the abyss and many teachers.

2. Cloak of unity.

If you have some reputation, you can buy a cloak from a guild seller that allows you to teleport to the main capital of your faction. The versions of the cloaks differ in cooldown time (from 2 to 8 hours). The first cape is available for characters from lvl 35.

3. Various things with teleports.

A lot of them! You can get it by going through not the shortest quest chains (for example, capes from the Trial of the Crusader and Tol Barad), digging up more than one thousand artifacts (for example, I don’t know where the port goes there), spending thousands of golds (for example, the Dalaran ring), and many others cannot be described in detail here I will, since the costs for the time of their receipt clearly do not fit the criteria - fast and problem-free pumping.

Yes, and it is best to write about them in a separate article. But on the way to the maximum level, you can still try to get something.

4. Engineering teleports.

By leveling up the profession - engineering, you get access to six unique portals. 3 of them depend on the chosen direction (Gnomish or Goblin) and give you the opportunity to move to 2 locations of Azeroth and 1 location of Outland once every 4 hours.

Northrend Wormhole Generator allows you to go to some (optional) places in Northrend once every 4 hours, Pandaria Wormhole Generator gives you the opportunity to go to a random place on this continent at least every 15 minutes, Draenor Wormhole Centrifuge every 4 hours will take you to one of your choice, to one their places of the last addition.

5. Chopper for the little ones.

A unique mount is given as a reward for the Rich Inheritance achievement (obtain 35 heirlooms). A motorcycle with a sidecar and its own driver works from the very first level. True, it has a slightly lower speed than other vehicles. But in any case, riding it as a passenger will be faster than hiking.

Quick collection of loot.

Once upon a time, to collect prey, you had to poke the mouse over the body of each defeated enemy. Collecting prey took a lot of time, forcing him to run from one body to another after each battle. In one of the additions, this action was simplified, and with 1 mouse click, you can now take loot from the entire nearest group of cooling corpses.

Later, hunters had a unique opportunity to collect prey with their pet (you just need to insert the appropriate symbol). Even later, the engineers had a trophy collector, which they were not undoubtedly happy about, especially in cases where it was difficult or impossible to get to the body.

Draenor in this regard pleased everyone! Findle's trophy collector is available to all classes, with any profession. After a couple of days of using this “thing”, you get used to it so that the past is remembered in the spirit of “could this even be?”.

Peace to all and fast, interesting and effective pumping!
Likes and comments are welcome.

Do you want to be the best in your class? No doubt. To be a successful player, you need to study your class and all its features as much as possible. The next step? Fill yourself with chemicals!

A career as a raider is impossible without hours spent looking for materials to consume! Of course, for someone it is easier and more pleasant to buy everything at an auction and not worry, but some learn alchemy, collect herbs, and do not spend money. So, what flasks do you need? What plants are needed for their preparation? Read the guide!

Note!
In Update 4.0.6, the number of flask reagents has been reduced! Each flask now requires 8 Plants (up from 12), but 8 Volatile Life (up from 6). Therefore, it makes sense to save the reagents and wait for the update!

Flasks

Flasks have changed a bit in Cataclysm, and no longer require Lotus (eg Fel Lotus or Arctic Lotus) and instead require 6 Volatile Life (8 for 4.0.6) to make. Cooking no longer creates 2 flasks per set of materials, as it did in the LK, and the duration is now 1 hour instead of 2.

Some players prefer to buy pre-made flasks rather than crafting them from materials. For many, the main goal is to raise the level of the profession.

Flasks of Cataclysm

Flask of Flowing Water

A flask of flowing water grants 300 Spirit for 1 hour. Flasks that regenerate mana have not been the most popular over the past few years, with many players opting for Flask of the Frostwyrm or even Flask of Pure Wisdom. And despite the mana issues, many healers have learned to adapt to this, and benefit greatly from the Intelligence (mana regen, crit, spell power) that Dragonmind Flask provides.

Flask of Dragon Mind

Draconic Mind Flask adds 300 to Intellect for 1 hour. In Cataclysm, there are no spellpower flasks, which is why this flask is the most popular among casters. Almost every caster has talents that increase the benefit of using Intelligence, by far the most useful stat. More Spell Power, More Mana, More Crit, and even some mana regen. And your Flask of Flowing Water is lost!

Flask of Steelskin

Flask of Steelskin grants 300 Stamina for 1 hour. Of course, this is a flask for tanks that adds Stamina, instead of a static health level like Flask of Stoneblood in LK. This is a nice change, because tanks of different classes will receive different bonuses from using a flask. Unfortunately, this flask is worse than the other +300 flasks, as Stamina "costs" less (even when looking at item stats) and there is an opinion that the stamina bonus should be increased by 50%, for equivalence (compare Solid Sea Sapphire and Embossed Infernal ruby). Perhaps Blizzard will understand this, because at the moment extra 4-5k to the health of the tank does not change the weather.

Flask of Titan Power

Flask of Titan Strength adds 300 Strength for 1 hour. What can I say, Strength beautiful, and this flask adds a lot of Strength. No more AP flasks - only Strength. Obviously this flask is most useful for melee DPS like Death Knight, Retribution Paladins and Warriors. Also, some tanks use this flask to deal more damage and generate more threat, but Flask of Steelskin is a better choice.

Flask of the Winds

Flask of the Winds adds 300 to your Agility for 1 hour. As we said before, there is no upgraded Flask of Endless Fury in Cataclysm, so this flask is for Hunters, Rogues, and Cats. Take it, you won't regret it.

Guild cauldrons

Cataclysm has added a nice alternative to flasks: cauldrons! Previously, cauldrons were only used to brew a potion (Cauldron of Great Fire Protection). Cauldrons of Cataclysm are very different - instead of providing a potion, they provide flasks! Guilds with talented alchemists can now use Cauldron of War or Great Cauldron of War to provide their group members with Elixir of Battle. The Cauldron of War will give you 7 flasks until it is completely depleted, and the Great Cauldron of War can give you a total of 20 flasks. Unfortunately, this means that some of the group members will have to get out on their own! But if the guild acquires Happy Hours (at level 20), these cauldrons will yield 10 and 30 flasks respectively.

To unlock cauldron recipes, guilds need to complete the following achievements: Luckily, guilds can choose which flasks to craft, as the achievement only requires a quantity (and Deathblood Poison for the Cauldron of War)!

cauldron of war

Great cauldron of war

Potions

Potions upset. There used to be times... we were drenched in potions like alcoholics! Now players are limited to using potions, one potion per combat phase, so now potions are used at the most critical moments of the battle, for maximum DPS or urgent and high-quality healing.

Temporary boost potions
Let's not forget about the updated health and mana potions, as well as two new modifications: Potion of Focus and Mystery Potion.

Note that Blizzard is becoming more and more disliked by players with every expansion! Why? More mana and health potions don't fall from monsters (until you get lucky with the Sealed Box). Alchemists, get ready to brew!

Mana/Health Potions

Elixirs

Poor elixirs. Let's go back to the days when you turned into an imba after drinking the right combination of ward and battle elixir, telling everyone: "Hey, I don't care if the buffies are gone if I die, because you know what? Death is not in my plans." Unfortunately, with the changes to Cataclysm, the secondary stats are no longer so compelling, and elixirs have "dimmed" in comparison to flasks. Some players use elixirs to reach the secondary stat cap, or with Prismatic Elixir they take less damage in some fights.

Battle Elixirs
Guardian Elixirs

Where to get materials?

Each flask requires 6 Volatile Life and 12 Plants (8 and 8 in 4.0.6). Finally, Blizzard removed such a huge variety of flasks and now all flasks require Crystal Flasks, the prices of which have been significantly reduced. Gathering materials is not an easy task for players who do not have Herbalism, as farming Volatile Life is difficult and unreliable without Herbalism.

It's worth noting that Herbalism is fairly easy to level up in Cataclysm, as plant spawning on Azeroth has been increased. In addition, do not forget that you can fly on Azeroth!

Cataclysm Plants

Cineraria

Ashtray, a new plant added in Cataclysm, can be found almost everywhere, but most of all in hot and fiery locations, like

This is the fourth version of the alchemy leveling guide published on this blog. The first version was written back in the days of WotLK, the second after the release of MoP. Since the crafting changes in WoD have frustrated me to the point of impossibility, the guide has not been updated. In Legion, I updated the material. This version of the alchemy leveling guide has been updated for patch 8.0.1 and tells you how to level up a skill to 800.

Brief information about the skill

Alchemy in World of Warcraft is primarily all kinds of potions, elixirs and infusions that increase the parameters of the characters. Any self-respecting raider does not come to the instance without "chemistry". There is always a demand for this product, although not so high, because often guilds and statics provide themselves with this good on their own.

Therefore, a much more profitable occupation is transmutation. Alchemists are able to make other materials and substances out of some substances and materials. This has worked particularly well in past expansions for gem blanks. Transmuter alchemists could "brew" stones and gain additional procs from specialization at the cost of procs. A bunch of professions jewelry - alchemy brought decent money. Many new and exciting transmutes have been added to Legion, including the high-level Blood of Sargeras reagent needed to craft many useful items.

The last thing to note is that alchemists can make some pretty good trinkets for themselves.

In the Warlords of Draenor expansion, the crafting system has received a major overhaul. In particular, it became possible to master Draenor recipes with profession skill 1. Therefore, for characters of level 90+, an alternative leveling path became available - exclusively through the recipes of the Warlords of Draenor add-on. In Legion, the situation was the same. If you haven't mastered the skill before, just go to the trainer, learn the skill and get Legion alchemy recipes.

One of the innovations of the Battle for Azeroth expansion, which seriously affects leveling, is that the skill is now divided into tiers. Each tier corresponds to an addition. The most important thing is that the ranges are independent of each other. If you want to upgrade your Outland Alchemy skill, you don't need to brew Old World Flasks. You just find a teacher in Shattrath City, learn from him and upgrade the skill. The tier distribution is shown below. The total number of skill points is now 950.

  • 1-300 - alchemy
  • 1-75 - Alchemy of Outland
  • 1-75 - Northrend alchemy
  • 1-75 - alchemy of the time of the Cataclysm
  • 1-75 - Pandarian Alchemy
  • 1-100 - Draenic Alchemy
  • 1-100 - Broken Isles Alchemy
  • 1-150 - Kul Tiran / Zuldazar Alchemy

Alchemy of Pandaria (1-100)

Like other professions, alchemy in MoR has undergone significant changes and its pumping is tied to research. In other words, by being engaged in the production of substances, you discover more and more new recipes. Which? And how the card will fall. Therefore, there is no strict sequence and you can only say which reagents should be used to raise to the next level. The author recommends using for pumping those recipes that use low-level herbs.

1-30
Alchemy Potion of Rejuvenation: Green Tea (40)

At this point, you will already have something to work with in the recipe book.

30-545
15 Mantis Elixirs: Green Tea (30)

45-75
15 Wildebeest Bites:
Green tea (30)
Snow Lily (30)

25 Master Mana Potions:
Green tea (25)
Snow Lily (25)
Fool's Mushroom (25)

Draenor Alchemy (1-100)

At the moment, this method is the cheapest. First things first, you need to pay a visit to the alchemy teacher in Dalaran or one of the major cities.

As with other crafting professions in Warlords of Draenor, alchemy has been given a major overhaul with the introduction of the garrison mechanic. Alchemy recipes could be used already at level 1. They could be exchanged with a vendor for a book from Secrets of Draenor Alchemy. To learn how to make a book, you had to either buy a special scroll from vendors in Ashran or knock it out of mobs - A Treatise on the Alchemy of Draenor. Also in the garrison there is a special building in which there is an NPC who also sells this scroll.

1-40
40 bottles of ancient healing potion (recipe level 1): Seed of Ysera (160).
The vendor will have a level 1 recipe available. If you are lucky and get a proc, you will get a level 2 recipe, with which you can upgrade the skill to 60 points (only after that it will turn gray)

Alchemy recipes are unlocked by completing quests given by Dekus Valder in Dalaran. The character must be level 110. The quests are quite simple, so it makes no sense to describe them in detail. Recipes for making flasks will open after completing the quest "Checking the Calibration". Basically, you have to complete all the alchemy quests to get the level 1 recipes.

40-61
As you craft level 2 flasks, you will unlock a level 3 recipe. Therefore, it is recommended to wait with crafting the flasks below until you get a level 2 recipe. You will receive three level 2 flask quests immediately after you get the level 1 recipe. The tier 2 recipe for Flask of the Seventh Demon drops from Kordana in the Vault of the Guardians instance (Heroic).

Choose one tier 2 recipe for the following flasks:

7 Flasks of Ten Thousand Scars: 14 Star Roses, 28 Aethrils, 28 Dreamleaves;
7 flasks of countless armies: 14 starry roses, 28 aethrils, 28 foxflowers;
7 flasks of a secret agreement: 14 star roses, 28 fjarnskaggls, 28 dream leaves;
7 infusions of the seventh demon: 14 star roses, 28 fjarnskaggls, 28 foxflowers;

61-82
If you unlocked a level 3 flask recipe, then level up the skill on that recipe to 780. If you haven't gotten a level 3 flask recipe yet, then keep making level 2 flasks until you unlock it.

82-100
If you're using Legion content recipes, you can only get the skill to 800 by making lvl 3 flasks. These recipes turn yellow between 780-790 and green between 790-800. You need to make about 40 pieces.

Made Alchemy guide in WOW Battle for Azeroth: how to level up Alchemy 1-800, what recipes to use, how to save money during leveling, where to get tasks for alchemists.

Specializations

Upon reaching profession skill level 475, alchemists become available to choose a specialization: potions, elixirs or infusions. By choosing one of the specializations, you will get some chance to create 2-5 units of the corresponding product (potions/flasks/elixirs) instead of one.

In patch 4.3, the choice of specializations has changed somewhat. Now, in order to choose a specialization, 475+ alchemists must complete the task from the profession teacher: Yelmak (Horde) / Lylyssia Nightbreeze (Alliance). The tasks are quite simple - you just need to bring a few prepared potions, infusions or elixirs to the teacher.

Darkmoon Fair

The new Darkmoon Faire allows you to quickly level up 5 points of Alchemy by completing a small task for a profession. The Dark Moon Fair takes place over the course of a week, starting on the first Sunday of the month. On it, alchemists can complete the task Bubble Cocktail. However, by and large, there are no very difficult stages in leveling a profession, so visiting the fair for the sake of +5 points can be considered doubtful.

Alchemy 1-800

1-300

630-700 (any of the recipes):

These recipes require 5 Alchemy Catalysts + 1 Alchemy Catalyst. Magic element + the same ordinary infusion(which did at step 600-630). The recipe costs 5 Secrets of Draenor Alchemy , so it's wise to study the same flask you've made before.

Leveling in the Legion

In Legion, it is now possible to upgrade a profession with only 0 Legion recipes - this allows you to avoid the long and tedious crafting of many classic recipes, BC, etc.

1-700

For comfortable leveling with Legion recipes, you need to be level 100+.

To get started, visit Alchemy Trainer Dekus Valdera in Dalaran. If you don't know where to find him, just ask the guards where the alchemy teacher is.

1-4
Right after you have learned Alchemy, you can start the Cool Blend quest given by Dekus Valdera. The reward for completing this quest is Legion Alchemist . Be sure to complete this task before you start leveling the profession.

To craft the potions needed to complete the quest, you will need 9x Seed of Ysera. Recipes and empty bottles can be purchased from Patricia Egan, who is located in the same place as Dekus Valdera.

4–236
232x Ancient Healing Potion - 928x Seed of Ysera

Don't forget to buy the tier 2 recipe for this potion from Patricia! Level 3 will open on its own during potion making. Do not sell or throw away prepared potions, they will be useful to you later.

236–468
232x Ancient Mana Potion - 1160x Seed of Ysera

Do not destroy these potions either, they will be useful for the next recipe.

468–700 or 650–700
232x Ancient Rejuvenation Potion – 232x Ancient Healing Potion, 232x Ancient Mana Potion

If you started leveling at 650, then it's time to complete the quest mentioned in section 1 - 4, and then prepare 16x Ancient Healing Potions, 16x Ancient Mana Potions, and 16x Ancient Rejuvenation Potions. All this will require 144x Seed of Ysera.

700 – 800

If you are planning to craft an Infernal Alchemist Stone, then it is better to wait until you have 739 skill points, and then feel free to start making an accessory - this way you will immediately receive 5 skill points.

All Legion recipes are sold by the already familiar Patricia Egan.

700–740
40x Ancient Healing Potion (Tier 3) – 160x Seed of Ysera

Please note that this is a level 3 recipe, the early levels are useless at this stage.

New alchemy recipes can be unlocked through quests from Dekus Valdera. To unlock the recipes mentioned below, you need to be level 110. Flask recipes become available after completing the Calibration Check quest, and Patricia Egan will also sell them.

740–761
While making tier 2 potions, you will most likely unlock the next tier 3 recipes automatically.

After you learn level 1 of any flask, 3 tasks will open for you, the passage of which will bring you recipes for flasks of level 2.

Recipe: Flask of the Seventh Demon (Lv. 2) can be obtained from Cordana Felsong in Vault of the Guardians Heroic Difficulty. The rest of the recipes are commercially available.

Choose one of the recipes available to you and start making infusions (choose only one of the suggested ones):

  • 7x Flask of Ten Thousand Scars (Tier 2) - 49x Starry Rose, 70x Aithril, 70x Dreamleaf
  • 7x Flask of Countless Armies (Tier 2) – 49x Starry Rose, 70x Aithril, 70x Foxflower
  • 7x Flask of Secret Covenant (Tier 2) - 49x Starry Rose, 70x Fjarnskaggl, 70x Dreamleaf
  • 7x Flask of the Seventh Demon (Tier 2) – 49x Starry Rose, 70x Fjarnskaggl, 70x Foxflower

If you have already discovered the recipe for any level 3 flask, you can craft it up to 780 skill points. If not, then keep creating flasks until you unlock level 3. Getting to level 3 depends on luck - you might get lucky and unlock it at the tenth flask you made, or you could make a hundred while staying at level 2 of the recipe.

7x Any Flask Level 3 - 14x Star Rose, 28x Some Herb, 28x Some Herb

The type of herb used depends on the recipe.

The only way to max out alchemy is to create tier 3 flasks. These recipes will turn yellow between 780 and 790, and green between 790 and 800. For the final step, you will need to make about 40 flasks, but again the amount will depend on your luck.

40x Any Flask lvl.3 – 280x Starry Rose, 400x Some Herb, 400x Some Herb

Again, the type of herb used will depend on the recipe chosen.

Note: Goblins have a +15 racial advantage to Alchemy, so this part will be much easier for them.

Leveling Alchemy in Battle for Azeroth (1-150)

Compiled a guide for leveling Alchemy in the Battle for Azeroth. In this guide, you will find the fastest and cheapest way to fully upgrade Alchemy in BFA.

Alchemy pairs best with Herbalism. By combining these professions, you can save a huge amount of gold, because herbalists have the opportunity to farm all the resources necessary for Alchemy. If you don't have Herbalism, make sure you have enough gold to buy various herbs, as you will need quite a lot of them.

Studying a profession in BFA

There are two versions of Alchemy for different factions:

  • Kul Tiran Alchemy for the Alliance.
  • Zandalari alchemy for the Horde.

The only difference between professions is their name.

Alchemy teacher:

  • Clever Kumali in Dazar'alor at Artisan's Terrace. (Horde).
  • Elric Volgrin in Boralus at the Market of the Seven Winds (Alliance).

You can approach the guards in Boralus or Dazar'alor and ask them where the Alchemy teacher is. A marker will appear on your map, which will indicate the location of the desired NPC.

How to upgrade 1-150

  • 20 Coastal Healing Potions - 140 pts Siren pollen.
  • 20 Coastal Mana Potions - 140 pts River peas.

Create 3 potions of any of the types listed below.
