Treasure maps red dead redemption 1. Locations of treasure maps, bandit hideouts and gold bars in Red Dead Online

There are four sets of treasure maps. Moreover, one of the sets is given only if the game has been pre-ordered. Each set includes three treasure maps. However, only the last card, as a rule, leads to the most valuable treasures - hidden gold bars. It is also important to note that finding treasure maps is the best and quick way earn money large number relatively easy money. Therefore, this guide will answer the most important question: “ where to find all the treasure maps and treasures inRed Dead Redemption 2? ».

All Jack Hall Gang Treasure Maps

Red Dead Redemption 2. All the treasures

So what's the first thing you need to know? The first treasure map from this set can be obtained if you can find the traveler named "Maximo". Fortunately, this is not difficult to do, because it is located in the southwestern part of your camp. Maximo will tell the main character that he is searching for treasures. He will also then offer to buy one of these cards from him for only 10 dollars. By the way, this game moment is part additional quest called "All That Glitters".

Treasure Map (#1)

Before you begin your search, you must carefully study the resulting treasure map. It will depict a mountain and is located on the south side of Valentine. You should navigate your search based on the inscription with the words “Caliban`s Seat”. In addition, if you take the time to run around and look at the surrounding objects, then you will be able to notice the similarities with the drawing.

During the search, it is imperative to find a gentle opening. Next you will need to go upstairs. Please look carefully at the pictures that accompany these searches. The fact is that screenshots on which you can see a mark with the location of the character, you can understand where you need to be (in in this case the character is right at the very beginning of the big rise). In addition, you should carefully look around to find the tent.

Directly in front of the tent there will be a descent on a small ledge. After walking along this ledge to the very end, you can find the second map right inside the rock. And be careful, because during this journey you will have to jump over, then rise higher, and then once again go down to the ledge.

Treasure Map (#2)

The next card from this set will now lead the main character to northern part from Valentine, past a place called "Fort Wallance". By the way, it makes sense to take warm clothes with you before traveling, since the temperature in this area will be noticeably lower. You should focus on the letter “O”, which is associated with the inscription “Cotorra Spring”. Thus, you will arrive at the named place.

You can find out where the desired clearing with drawings is located by three barely noticeable geysers. In this clearing you should find a boulder, which is marked with a red circle in the screenshot below. The point is that at the base there is a small gap, inside which the next treasure map was hidden.

Treasure Map (#3)

And the last card will finally provide a full and worthy reward for the time and work spent. For the treasure you find you will receive several gold bars (2 pcs.). Each bar can be sold to the Buyer for $500 per piece. Therefore, it is better not to waste time and go to the northern part to the O`Creagb`s Run lake near the Emerald Ranch.

There is a small island in the central part of the lake - you should get to it. Since the main character quickly runs out of stamina in the water, you should drink the tincture in advance (thanks to it, you can easily get to the shore). On the island in the center you need to find an inconspicuous stone boulder (gold bars will lie right under it).

. All the Poison Trail treasure maps

Red Dead Redemption 2.Where to find treasure maps

The first treasure map from this set can be found inside the safe, which is located under the bench, and is located inside a small house in the northwestern part of Valentine. In addition, in this part of the map, just like last time, it will be cold, so I recommend wearing some kind of winter suit. In addition, you will definitely end up in this place during the course of completing a task that is related to the search for a man named Flaco Hernandez, so you can immediately combine business with pleasure.

Treasure Map (#1)

Finding the first place where the found drawing leads will be an incredibly simple task. The place is located in the northern part of small town called "Rhodes", where stagecoaches often go. When searching, you should be guided by a handwritten inscription with the words “Faw Rock,” so look at the map often.

Once you find yourself in the right place, you need to find the remains of a “bald” tree, which will have a hollow at the very base. The next treasure map will be inside this hollow. As a guide, it is best to use a tree shaped like a slingshot, since it is always visible immediately from afar, so it is quite difficult to miss this object.

Treasure Map (#2)

The next hand-drawn clue will lead to a location that is located next to a trading post called "Van Horn". The post, in turn, is located in the northern part of Saint-Denis. So it is quite possible to quickly get to the specified place using the local stagecoach station.

Upon arrival in right place, find a whole bunch of stones that are quite characteristic appearance. The point is that the last clue card will be right in the middle of this pile. In addition, it is important to know that there will be no landmarks such as inscriptions nearby, so to find out the exact location of the key place, it is better to look at the screenshots presented in this part of the guide.

Treasure Map (#3)

Once the treasure is found thanks to the last card of this set, you will receive a whopping 4 gold bars as a reward. All bars can be quickly sold to the Buyer and receive as much as 2,000 thousand dollars in return. You need to go to the northwestern part of the already familiar trading post called “Van Horn” and find a lake there called “Elysian pool”.

The first thing you should know is that the river that flows into this lake forms a waterfall. Therefore, you need to go inside the waterfall to end up inside a small cave. And since it will be dark there, you will need to immediately take out your flashlight.

Inside you need to move forward along the cave tunnel. You should move until the cave begins to noticeably expand (this will happen before main character will reach the first fork). On the right side you can carefully go down and find a small hole at the bottom. At the same time, be sure to check out the screenshots in this part of the walkthrough. For a comfortable and attentive study, it is better to switch to first-person mode.

When you go through the hole, move along the right side of the cave all the way to the stop. However, keep in mind that there will be a cliff in this place, so try not to fall down. Next you should get to the left side of the ledge, and then jump down as carefully as possible. The screenshot perfectly shows the place in question.

Soon the main character will quickly slide down on his ass and fall straight into a puddle. So when he gets up, climb (pull yourself up) along the wall nearby and a little higher you can finally find gold bars next to a huge stone boulder. Now, in order to get back up the same descent, you need to sit down and stay on the right side. At one point you will need to climb onto a ledge and follow it out through the cave tunnel above.

. All Great Hope treasure maps

Red Dead Redemption 2. All treasure maps

To get the first card from the set, you will have to find the treasure hunter and take it from him. The appearance of this character is random, we have noted possible locations below. If you get close enough, a white event dot will flash on the map. Usually the stranger stands on the edge of a cliff, holds a paper in his hands and mutters something under his breath.

Treasure Map (#1)

The first map will take you to Cumberland Fall, southwest of Valentine. Go down to the right bank of the river, to the base of the waterfall. You need to go behind the waterfall on a log near the rock. Then it’s better to switch to first-person mode, otherwise you won’t see anything. In the rock behind the stream of water there is a depression where you will find a cache.

Treasure Map (#2)

To find the second cache, head to Barrow Lagoon northwest of Valentine. Bring warm clothes and a gun, it’s cold there and there are bears. On the spot you need to find a fallen tree resting on two rocky banks on the sides. The treasure is waiting for you right in the middle of it.

Treasure Map (#3)

The third cache will be the most difficult to find. It is located in the mountains north of Fort Wallace. If you have already looked for rock art here, it will be easier for you to repeat your path. In the screenshot below, the player's marker is in the place where it is convenient to start climbing the mountain. The red mark is the approximate direction.

Climb almost to the very top of the mountain and descend between two pine trees onto a small ledge. Walk forward until there is no more grass under your feet. If you go down, you will see a rock carving. To find the treasure you need to go up the narrow stone ledge.

When the stone ledge below your feet ends, look down and carefully jump down to the stone platform below you. Take a step forward and carefully fall onto the next one. Now it's a matter of small things. Crouch down and move forward along the stone ledge until the “Inspect” sign appears near you. That's it, three gold bars in your pocket.

. All the torn treasure maps

Red Dead Redemption 2. Treasure Map Locations

These cards are slightly different from the previously described sets. Here you need to find two pieces of the map, combining which you will get one whole one. After this you can read the text on back side and find out who owns the treasure.

Torn Treasure Map (#1)

You will find the first half of the map west of Valentine in the hermit's hut. She will unleash all the dogs on you and will not give up her territory without a fight. The map is in bedside table inside a wooden house.

Torn Treasure Map (#2)

The drawing from the first half of the map will show where to look for the second part. You need a hermit's hut north of Annesberg. Don't forget to pick up the rare double-barreled shotgun from him, otherwise this weapon will be completely lost. The map lies inside the house, in the nightstand, under the window to the right of the fireplace.

Restored treasure map

You will now be able to read the text on the back of the glued card. Otis Miller's treasure chest is inside a small cave in the southern part of the map. In it you will find a rare Otis Miller revolver and erotic photographs. You can only get to this part of the map in the epilogue after completing Chapter 6. Focus on the small town of Armadillo, it is a fair distance southwest of Blackwater.

. Treasure map sketch

Red Dead Redemption2. How to find treasures

You can find a sketch of the map inside a small cottage north of Annesberg. No one met us inside, so we searched the fireplace chimney without any problems and quietly went outside.

Secret treasure in Annesberg

The treasure itself can be found southwest of Annesberg, near the Elisian Pool lake. At the top there is a noticeable tree with the letter X carved on it, take it as a guide (look at the screenshots). You need the second stone located behind this tree. At its base you can lift a small cobblestone and get a small gold bar (look at the screenshots).

Almost every Western is in one way or another connected with the famous “gold rush” and a new creation Rockstar Games was no exception to the rule. In it, players can also go on a treasure hunt (pure gold bars). In total, the game features four similar activities, each of which is associated with the search for maps where the location of the treasure is marked. However, to complete the game 100 percent, it is enough to complete only three hunts.

The fact is that the treasure hunt, called Les Trésor Des Morts, can only be completed by those players who pre-ordered this game or bought its ultimate edition.

As for the hunt itself, it consists of searching for three clues that will lead you to finding the real map, where the location of the gold is marked. In this guide, we'll show you how to find all the treasure maps in Red Dead Redemption 2 and help you solve the puzzles they contain.

Jack Hall's Gang Treasure Map

  • How to start: Wait until Chapter 2 starts, and then take on the quest called “All That Glitters.”
  • Reward: two gold bars, which you can give to a dealer in stolen goods for 1 thousand dollars.

Starting Map Location: Head to the location marked below (near Flatneck Station) and chat with the guy named Maximo. He will offer you to buy a card from him. You can refuse and then he will reduce its cost to $5. After that, purchase that important piece of paper. However, if you decide to shoot the peasant or he simply disappears, then later you will be able to purchase this item from any buyer of stolen items.

First card: It can be found at the foot of the mountain “Caliban’s Seat”. First, climb up the hill, and then find a path that leads down and is on the right. Jump over to the second ledge and find the map in the hole in the rock.

Second card: Look for it in Cotorra Springs. There are several pyramids made of cobblestones here. The item you need is hidden in the middle pyramid, not far from the geysers.

Third map: Start your search on a small island located in the middle of O'Creagh's Run lake, under a large stone. This is where you will find gold bars, each of which costs $500. You can sell them or give them to your gang members.

Poison Trail Treasure Map

  • How to start: Wait for Chapter 2 to start, and then find the starting map to study the first clue.
  • Reward: four gold bars, which can be given to a buyer of stolen goods for 2 thousand dollars.

Starting Map Location: Look in Cairn Lage, a snow-covered area located in the northwest zone game world. The item lies in a box hidden under the bed, not far from the door.

First card: Start walking up the hill. Soon you will notice a fallen tree with a small dead tree standing next to it. Inside the second is the sheet you need.

Second map: At the top of the hill there is a strange structure made of stones. In its center you can find a hole, where the next clue lies.

Third Map: Head to the cave behind the waterfall in the Elysian Pool. Go through the waterfall and pick up a lantern, since you can’t do without it in the dungeon. Then jump down from the right side and continue to the right side of the cave. Run along the ledge and reach the tunnel. Enter it and reach an extensive network of tunnels. At the end of one of them lies the treasure. Scroll to 1:51 in the video above to see the correct path.

Treasure Map Great Expectations

  • How to start: Wait until Chapter 3 starts and complete the main quest called "The New South".
  • Reward: three gold bars, which can be given to a stolen goods dealer for 1.5 thousand dollars.

Location initial map: You can get it from a random treasure hunter. These characters are marked on the map with white dots (random encounters). The NPC you need can appear in almost any accessible area, so continue to complete story and side quests, paying close attention to all random events.

Above we have indicated all the areas where you can meet the treasure hunter. It is worth looking for it during the daytime. As soon as you stumble upon him, immediately tie the brat up with a lasso. He will then drop the card and you can pick it up. If, after three encounters, you still haven’t managed to get this item, then you can purchase it from buyers of stolen items.

First Map: Look behind the waterfall in the Cumberland Falls area. You can climb up to the right of the waterfall by walking along a small piece of wood.

Second card: You can find it in Barrow Lagoon. To do this, climb up the hill and look for a fallen tree located between a couple of cobblestones. This is where the clue lies.

Third map: Get to Bacchus Station, and then go down one side of the mountain to the ledge above the river (that is, first climb up to the hill that faces the river, and then go down and jump from one platform to another). After several jumps, you will finally find the treasure lying in the crevice.

Master Botanist
Let's start with the herbarium, since collecting herbs does not require any preliminary steps. In addition, the first plant can be found already in the vicinity of MacFarlane's farm. However, in order not to wander in search, it is recommended to buy a botanical map (Survivalist map) at the nearest store. Within 20 minutes, the map shows where the flowers grow in the current area John's stay Well, one way or another, let's start collecting. To start, just pick any flower.

Level 1: Collect six Wild Feverfew flowers. The flower can be found in the New Austin area (Challa Springs).

Plants are found quite often, and what is especially pleasing is that they are often found along roads. Completing the task will not be difficult. Flowers also appear on the mini-map when John is close to them, so be sure to drive off the road towards the flower markers when traveling. This is true for collecting any flowers. As soon as John has the required number of plants in his supplies, the game will be automatically saved and the task will be updated (see current tasks in the journal: Start => Journal => Challenges).

Level two: Collect six Desert Sage flowers. The plant is found in the Gaptooth Ridge region. Its purple flowers and long stems make it easy to see among the cacti and native grasses, plus there's a mini-map at your disposal.

Level 3: Collect four Red Sage flowers. Rio Bravo growing area. The plant resembles the flowers from the previous task. The main difference is the red color.

The next flower can only be found in Mexico, so if you haven't already completed story mission“We'll be together in heaven,” it's time to storm Fort Mercer. When you've dealt with Bill Williamson's gang, come back to our circle of young nerds and we'll continue.

Level four: Collect eight Prickly Pear flowers. The plant resembles a cactus. Head to the Punta Orgullo area, in revolutionary Mexico, and look for low cacti with bright red flowers.

Level 5: Collect seven Wooly Blue Curl flowers. A cute purple flower that grows around Chuparosa.
Congratulations, here is the first bonus: the botanist card is now valid for 40 minutes instead of 20, so collecting the rest of the plants will be easier.

Level six: Collect eight Butterfly Weed flowers. It is a plant with nice bright orange flowers. Grows in the Diez Coronas area.

Level seven: Collect ten Hummingbird Sage flowers. Look for a purple flower in the southern part of the forest near the town, Tall Trees area. Remember that grizzly bears live in the forests there (usually you won’t see less than three).

Level Eight: Collect twelve Prairie Poppies. This plant grows abundantly around the Marston ranch (Beecher's hore), along the railroad tracks.

Level 9: Collect fifteen Currant leaves. Quite tall bushes growing in the Creat Plains area and the same Marston ranch are quite easy to notice.

Tenth level: collect ten Violes Snowdrop plus two flowers (leaves) of all other plants. Look for violets in the northern part of the forest near Mount Nekoti, where bears live, the rest of the plants in accordance with the instructions given above.

And here it is - the second bonus. Now John can independently mix the tonic that restores the supply of Dead Eye.

Marksman

Shooting is much more interesting than botany, but becoming the best shooter is extremely difficult. But we'll try anyway, right? As with plant gathering, you can begin your shooter's journey by shooting your first bird, and John will begin his ascent to the title of the most accurate shooter in Red Dead Redemption as of 1911.

First level: shoot five flying birds. Everything is simple here: we see a bird - we shoot.

Level two: shoot five rabbits.

Level 3: Shoot five coyotes before they damage John. It's not difficult: open the map, turn on maximum removal, put a mark in the area where coyotes are drawn (for example, northwest of MacFarlane's ranch) and go hunting. Coyotes attack in packs, and they give themselves away with a characteristic howl. Thus, , having heard this very howl, prepare a multi-shot gun and shoot the animals right from the saddle.

Level four: shoot five birds while on a moving train. Also an easy task. You can wait for the train at the nearest station. But there is no need to waste time. If you're the type who prefers to take action, open the map, look for the train icon, then plot the interception route. Saddle up your horse and gallop at full speed to the meeting point. When you reach the train, wait for a message like “to jump on the train, press X” to appear and, of course, press the “X” button. John will jump on the train as he goes.

Fifth level: kill two different animals with the Dead Eye mode activated once. In fact, the task is simple. We drive into the wilderness, looking for larger and, more importantly, not particularly aggressive animals (although wolves or coyotes are also suitable). Having caught up with a potential victim, look for a bird (a bird can, for example, be a deer and a wolf or something else, think of it yourself). Now turn on Dead Eye, shoot and receive the first bonus - a significant increase in the number of cartridges stored in John’s chests.

Level six: knock off the hats of two people using Dead Eye mode. Fortunately, you don't need to knock both hats off at once. The easiest way is to look for Mexicans, as they love to wear wide-brimmed sombreros. You're almost guaranteed to knock off the hats without shooting the poor souls in the head. But if you are not looking for easy ways, you can complete this task long before John gets to the other side of the river. The main thing is not to fuss, and choose more or less stationary targets. Although, with practice, you can knock off the hats of galloping horsemen.

Level seven: Kill three grizzly bears with one shot. The best and easiest option is the Buffalo rifle. The algorithm is this: find the first bear (in the forest north of the city of Blackwater). Turn on Dead Eye to be sure and place a bullet directly in the forehead of the beast. If the bear does not fall, the attempt is failed: finish off the predator and wait for his relatives, since bears live here in threes. If the bear is killed by the first shot, carefully look around - two more are somewhere nearby. Repeat the same steps and get a new level.

Level 8: Knock off hats and knock weapons out of the hands of two people. Thank God, you don't need to do all these tricks at the same time. You can knock off the hat from one, then from another, then disarm the third, and then knock off the hat and knock the weapon out of the hands of the fourth - your choice. You already know how to shoot hats; knocking out weapons is a little more tricky, although the algorithm is approximately the same. Remember that you should shoot exclusively at the weapon - any, even non-fatal, hit on the poor fellow means failure and the search for a new target. To be sure, turn on Dead Eye.

Level nine: shoot six wild animals without changing or reloading your weapon. It sounds a little confusing, but in fact the task is not difficult. Arm yourself with a repeating rifle, turn on Dead Eye and complete the task. Another option is the story mission “Ruin”, where you need to shoot many, many crows within a certain time.

Level ten: disarm six opponents without changing or reloading weapons. A difficult case. The easiest way to complete the task is to arm yourself with an Evans repeating rifle, the magazine of which holds 21 rounds.

The second bonus is a significantly increased recovery rate for Dead Eye stocks. Now let's hunt - this is also very fun and exciting entertainment.

Hunting, as you might guess, involves killing animals and collecting trophies from their carcasses. To begin the difficult path of a hunter, it is enough to kill some wild animal and remove its skin.

Level 1: Kill and skin five coyotes. Without further ado: we look for a pack of coyotes, kill and skin them.

Level two: Kill and skin five female deer. Females, remember, are hornless.

Third level: kill five wolves with a knife, collect five wolf skins. We open the map, look for the image of a wolf, put a marker, and move forward. Hearing a wolf's roar, we dismount, prepare a knife and remember that in aiming mode John can roll away from attacks. Now we target the first wolf and calm the gray predator with two blows of the knife. Repeat with the rest of the flock. When all the wolves are dead, we take turns skinning them. If you haven’t yet succeeded in hitting two knife blows in a row, you can wound the animals with, for example, a pistol, and then finish the job with a melee weapon.

Level four: collect five boar tusks and three armadillo shells. Boars live north of MacFarlane's ranch, armadillos live in the central part of Challa Springs. It is better to meet boars with a doublet from a shotgun, but shoot armadillos with pistols, otherwise you will not see the shell.

Fifth level: kill two pumas with a knife, collect two puma skins. Now that's an adventure! Puma is a dangerous opponent, even if you are armed firearms. However, you can deal with it with a knife. The secret is simple: do not let the beast out of sight, move away from its rapid attacks, and then cut it. If you feel the strength, cut the puma on the opposite move: here it rushes at John, here John meets the jump with a blow from the knife. Two or three hits and it's done. Don't forget to skin the dead animal. It is better to hunt wild cats during the day, because at night you often do not notice where the animal comes from and attacks. As a rule, cougars hunt in pairs, so just in case, look around: two such dangerous and dexterous animals against a knife are already too much. As in the case of wolves, before going toe-to-toe with cougars, you can first wound them with a rifle. Look for cougars north of MacFarlane's Ranch.

Level six: Collect five raccoon skins, five fox skins and five skunk skins. All these wonderful animals are found in abundance north of MacFarlane's ranch, but they leave their holes and lairs only at night. Thus, wait until evening at the ranch and go north. It is better to shoot with a pistol so as not to damage the skins.

Level seven: collect five pieces of female deer meat and five bighorn sheep skins. Everything is clear with deer - they are found in the forests north of Blackwater. Bighorn sheep are a type of mountain goat. They are found in the northern part of the same forests.

Level 8: Kill a grizzly bear with a knife. An even more dangerous undertaking than fighting two pumas at once. You can defeat a bear either by shooting it first, or by deception: wait for the bear to attack, roll away and stab the animal in the back with a knife. This maneuver requires some dexterity, but you have good old Dead Eye on your side. We remind you that bears rarely hunt alone: just in case, expect two more predators to visit.

Level 9: Kill the legendary jaguar named Han and skin him. Khan lives in the Ojo Del region. To lure the beast, John will need bait, which is sold in any store. With bait in your inventory, go to Ojo Del DiabLo and lay down the bait - Khan won't keep you waiting long. Kill the beast with any in a convenient way and don't forget to skin it.

Level ten: kill and skin the legendary wolf named Lobo, the equally legendary boar named Gordo and the absolutely legendary bear named Brumas. Lobo the wolf hunts in the Aurora Basin area, the Proud boar grazes in the Stillwater Creek area (near the town of Thieves Landing), and Brumas the bear's den is located somewhere at the foot of Mount Nekoti. We take bait, look for prey, kill it in any convenient way and don’t forget to skin them.

As a reward for completing all hunting tasks, John will receive the ability to cook nutritious morsels from the meat of killed animals, which restore health. Now let's look for treasures.
