How to take a picture of a page in Word. How to take a screenshot of a page in a couple of seconds

There are times when you just need to take a picture of a page on the Internet. How to take a screenshot? It's simple? Of course, yes, but there are also such users who do not know this (everyone has a different period of using a computer and there is nothing strange in this). Let's consider this question in more detail. The article is written for those who are just mastering the PC.

How to take a picture of a page on the Internet

My first thought was just to take a picture. We take a camera and stupidly photograph. And we see that the picture is not very good.

We use standard operating system tools

To do this, simply press the Prt Scr (Print Screen) key on the keyboard. This is the button on the keyboard:

After pressing this key, the screenshot goes to the clipboard, i.e. it resides in the computer's RAM. Now in any graphics editor you can insert and see this picture. By the way, this can be done even in word.

Option to insert a picture in word. Open a word document.

We put the cursor in the place where we want to insert the photo (the horizontal cursor “blinks”) and select the “Insert” command with the RIGHT mouse button.

Everything. Photo inserted.

The best option is to save a screenshot in a graphics editor

Press the Prt Scr key (Print Screen - print screen). We open the editor. Button StartAll programsStandardPaint.

Paint opens and now click on the "Paste" icon. Or press the key combination "Ctrl + V". (Ctrl + V is the standard keyboard shortcut for pasting information from the clipboard).

We see that the screenshot has appeared. now it needs to be saved. To do this, in the upper left corner on the icon.

And save the image of excellent quality to your computer.

I have seen images on the Internet many times in which the entire site was visible from beginning to end. The need for such a picture arises when it is necessary to visually assess how your site or a separate page of it will look completely. But the standard built-in tools of the operating system, in particular the key function " Prt Scr» copies to the clipboard only the visible part, or the entire screen, or the active window (combination « Alt+Prt Scr«).

Screenshot (screenshot, screen or screenshot, English screenshot) - an image received by a computer and showing exactly what the user sees on the monitor screen or other visual output device. Typically, this digital image is obtained by the operating system or another program at the user's command.
The easiest way to take a screenshot for Microsoft Windows operating systems is to use the PrtScr key (for the entire screen) or the Alt + PrtScr key combination (for the current window) on the keyboard. In this case, the picture is copied to the operating system clipboard and can then be pasted and, if necessary, edited in any graphics editor, for example, in Paint, which is included in the standard set of Windows applications. Also, in most cases, the snapshot can be pasted into a word processor such as Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org Writer.
(material from wikipedia)

In order for the image of the entire page, no matter how large it is, to be in one figure (in one file), you must use the following recommendations.

How to take a screenshot of the entire site

Everything is easier than it seems. I found two free solutions:

  • Online service http://screenpage.ru/
  • FireFox Browser Add-on - ScreenGrab
    Let's consider both options.

ScreenPage.ru is a service of snapshots (screenshots) of web pages "in full growth"

Laconic design. Everything is so simple and clear that there is nothing to describe.

In order to take a screenshot of the entire page of the site, go to http://screenpage.ru/ and enter the address we need, then the email address and click the "take a picture" button. And in a few seconds or minutes (the time depends on the queue length and server load), a snapshot image of this page will be created, even if it occupies several screens in height. Next, a link to the screenshot will appear on the screen, by clicking on which we can view or download it. Also, a screenshot will be sent to you by the email you specified.

    FireFox Browser Add-on - ScreenGrab

Screengrab add-on! saves web pages as images. The created image can be copied to the clipboard or saved to a file. The file name format can be flexibly configured as you wish. The button in the browser add-ons menu bar can be customized for different actions. By default, the image of the entire site is copied to the clipboard.

You can download (install) the add-on at https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/screengrab-fix-version/ , or by visiting the site of the author Alexander Popov

    Usage impressions

Both proposed options have their advantages. ScreenPage.ru- makes you platform-independent. You access the online service in any way convenient for you (from a computer, tablet, phone) and at any time convenient for you, take a screenshot and receive it by mail.
Addition Screengrab allows you to take a screenshot of what you see exactly at the moment. After all, the next time you visit, the picture may be different. In other words, I saw something interesting - instantly, by pressing one button, I made a copy of the screen.

  • The developers of operating systems for computers simply could not help but foresee the natural desire of future users to take a picture of a page of the site and did not provide for this special Screenshot function, which allows, in the literal sense of this phrase, to take an instant screenshot, although according to the "Runet" custom, screenshot "in translation" is left as a screenshot.

Press PrtScrn - get a screenshot

The Screenshot function is implemented by simply pressing the PrtScrn key, or PrtScrn/Sys Rq, or PrtSc+Fn (in netbooks and some laptop models). Those who "lost" this key on the keyboard should immediately look to the right and up. Usually PrtScrn is located to the right of the F12 button, it can be located under the power control keys (more precisely, under the Power), but always next to the Insert key.

By pressing PrtScrn, we, like clicking the camera shutter, take a screenshot, sending it to the clipboard. To "develop" a photo, just go to any graphic editor and "lay out the contents of the pocket" there by clicking the "Paste" button, or by selecting Ctrl + V. But in Photoshop, you will first have to "Create" a document in the "File" menu, and then "Paste" the contents of the clipboard in the "Edit" menu. You can even "Insert" a picture on the "Home" page in Microsoft Word, but if you need the image itself, you will have to copy it and open / save it again in some graphics editor.

    "Developing" a screenshot in Paint

It is possible that some of the users who are interested in how to take a picture of a page on a computer do not pay attention to the modest Paint editor that all Windows owners have, and it is in it that they usually paste screenshots taken with the PrtScrn key, because it's fast, convenient, and the screenshot can be edited there.

Among the programs in the Start menu, the Paint editor may not be (when rarely used), in which case you need to get it from the "Accessories" folder and pin it to the taskbar (just in case).

Having unloaded the clipboard in the editor after clicking on the PrtScrn button, you will immediately notice that the snapshot completely captures the visible part of the screen, and if we pressed PrtScrn + Alt, we would get a snapshot of only the active window.

If you do not need the upper part of the browser header for the screenshot, you can switch to full screen mode by pressing F11, and then exit it in the same way.

    Cutting the page with scissors

If some owners of Windows 7,8 and Vista do not know how to take a picture of a page on the Internet, they should again look at the Start menu, where in the Standard folder, in addition to the Paint editor, there should be the Scissors application, a direct responsibility which is the creation of screenshots. The application file with its "real" name Snipping Tool.exe is buried deep in the "System32" folder in the "Windows" directory.

Having opened the application on the desired page, we select with the mouse either the entire screen, or only the active window, or a rectangular and even arbitrary shape. We release the button, and the fragment jumps into the application markup window, where, before saving the file, they allow you to draw on the screenshot with a multi-colored, and even customizable, pen, marker, erase with an elastic band, copy your art into your pocket and even send it to the address (electronic).

In this way, you can both take a picture of a page on the Internet, and take a screenshot of the monitor with any content, with the exception of the open Start menu, since the application "sits" there. Therefore, in the latter case, having opened the application, you need to press the Esc key to "remove the veil" from the screen, open the "Start" menu, then select the key combination Crtl + PrtScrn (copy to "Scissors") and select the area of \u200b\u200bthe desired shape to create a screenshot.

    Alternative Tools

In order to install one of these extensions, for example, in the Mozilla browser, you need to go to "Tools", open "Add-ons", type in the name of the application or extension (for example, Screengrab) and click the "Install" button if you are not tempted to another service from a dozen offered by Screengrab upon request (ScreenShotLink, Grab and drag, ImageHost Grabber, Fullscreen, etc.).

For example, consider how to take a picture of a page on a computer using the Screengrab plugin for the Mozilla browser.

After installing the add-on, its icon will firstly appear in the extensions panel, and secondly, in the "Tools" menu.

As you can see, there are three options for "photographing": "Save", "Copy" and "Upload" (Upload), in each of which, in turn, you can capture the "Entire page", "Visible part" or "Selection".

The Upload function will upload the screenshot to www. s3blog. org, where the file can be stored for up to 30 days.

Do not forget to select the format (PNG or JPEG) of saved screenshot files in the add-on settings.

Here is a small selection of programs with which you can both take a picture of a page and edit it: ScreenSnag, GreenShot, LightShot, JShot, Screenshot Creator, ScreenCapture, Shotnes, Screenpresso, SuperScreen, DuckCapture, Clip2Net, EasyCapture, PicPick, Clip2Net, Screenshot Captor , FastStone Capture, Ashampoo Snap, Granty and 5CM Uploader.

    Little tricks"

Perhaps there will be users who may think about how to take a picture of a page on the Internet if the necessary content of the page does not fit in the browser window. In this case, you can press F11 (commands "Full screen", "Full screen", etc. depending on the browser), or reduce the scale of the page by selecting the combination - Ctrl + (-).

You can paste the contents of the clipboard not only with the usual Ctrl + V key combination, but also with the Shift + Insert combination. Maybe for someone it is more convenient.

I know how to take a screenshot of a page in several ways, but I usually use one. I am not a designer and I know photoshop at the household level, because I have been working with texts all my life and my main program was Word. But a screenshot used to be required from time to time. And I did it in a very simple PAINT program, which is in any Windows. What I like about this program:

    1. It allows you to crop the screenshot.
    2. Resize in pixels or percentage.
    3. Draw something: an arrow, select an element with an oval, etc.
    4. Rotate image from left to right.
    5. Make some inscription.
    6. Erase what you don't need and fill it with any color.

By writing the text on the screenshot, you will get such a small home-made banner or postcard (if you are interested in how to make a banner that opens in a new window, there is a separate article on this topic ““). Screenshot with text looks like this:
