Description Special device MIP 2I
The Spetspribor MIP 2I device is equipped with an indication of the distance to the trigger point. Has 2 alarm loops. Performs the functions of a fireman's control panel and is designed to monitor the status of a linear fire detector (thermal cable) type IP104 "Granat - thermal cable" or its analogues along its entire length and issue discrete signals about its condition to external circuits.
Scope of application of MIP system modules fire alarm And automatic fire extinguishing objects (including explosive ones) using a thermal cable IP104 “Granat - thermal cable” or its analogues as a detector.
The device Spetspribor MIP 2I has a wall-mounted housing IP65. At the same time, MIP modules can be used as independent control panels having everything necessary functions, and as an intermediate link (barrier), providing control of the thermal cable and working on a certain control panel.
The MIP device has several versions:
Explosion-proof modules MIP-2-Ex, MIP-1-Ex, MIP-2I-Ex, MIP-1I-Ex, MIP-1-Ex-Din ensure intrinsic safety of alarm loops (thermal cable lines). These modules with input intrinsically safe electrical circuits of level ia subgroup IIC belong to associated electrical equipment (according to GOST R 51330.10), are marked with explosion protection IIC, comply with the requirements of GOST R 51330.0, GOST R 51330.10 and are intended for installation outside hazardous areas of premises and outdoor installations.
Modules MIP-2I-Ex, MIP-1I-Ex, MIP-2I, MIP-1I in ALARM ALARM mode display on the indicator the distance in meters from the beginning of the thermal cable to the trigger point. These modules are also equipped with an RS-485 interface, through which notifications and distances are transmitted, as well as module programming (in particular, setting the linear resistance value of the thermal cable).
Maximum accuracy in determining the distance of the trigger point (± 1 meter) is achieved when using MIP modules together with the IP104 “Granat - thermal cable” thermal cable.
Two-loop modules MIP-2, MIP-2I, MIP-2-Ex, MIP-2I-Ex are convenient for use in automatic fire extinguishing systems, when the fire extinguishing equipment should be launched only when detectors are triggered simultaneously in two alarm loops.
Modules of execution MIP-1-Din, MIP-1-Ex-Din are made in a housing with reduced dimensions, mounted on a DIN rail, and are intended for installation in a sealed cabinet.
A feature of all MIP modules is the ability to control a remote thermal cable connected to the module using a conventional copper cable. In this case, the MIP monitors the short circuit in the supply lines copper wires and distinguishes it from a short circuit in a thermal cable that occurs during a fire. To ensure this function, the module is calibrated after installing the alarm loop circuits.
The modules have addressable (for each loop) galvanically separated NORM and ALARM outputs for transmitting corresponding notifications to external circuits. The outputs are switching (there are a normally closed and a normally open group) of the “dry contact” type. Notifications are transmitted by switching the corresponding groups of output contacts.

- information capacity – 2 loops
- high information content – 3 types of received notifications

Firefighter interface module “THERMOCABLE_ MIP2I” is a two-zone module for monitoring one or two zones of a linear thermal fire detector.
Main features of the MIP2I module:
- Automatic testing - self-test of the Linear detector-MIP2I-fire alarm panel system
- Testing configured parameters
- The connection of two loops of a linear thermal fire is notified
- Two operating modes: independent and two-threshold
- Independent mode provides independent control over the operation of each linear thermal fire detector connected to MIP2I, which allows you to connect to the device both linear thermal fire detectors with similar characteristics (of the same sensitivity temperature, in the same type of shell) and linear thermal fire detectors with different characteristics. sensitivity temperatures and different shells). In this operating mode, if one of the loops catches fire, the device will give a “FIRE” signal and determine the distance to the source of fire.
- Dual threshold mode provides joint control of two zones of a linear thermal fire detector with the ability to issue a preliminary fire signal and a “FIRE” signal. In this mode, the “FIRE” signal is given only when two loops of a linear thermal fire detector connected to MIP2I are triggered simultaneously. When only one loop is triggered, the device determines the distance to the source of a possible fire, but does not signal a fire. This mode designed to protect against false positives.
- MIP2 operates independently or with connection to the fire alarm panel.
- Supports MODBUS protocol
- LCD display with indication
- There are two options for connecting a linear heat fire detector: directly to the MIP2I and connecting via a leading-connecting cable, which allows you to reduce the number of linear heat fire detectors, as well as install the MIP2I in any place convenient for the user. Calibration of the connecting cable is carried out in automatic mode when installing the system for the first time.
- Line heat fire fault control is notified.
- Possibility of connecting one line of a linear heat fire detector.

Working Principle
When the specified temperatures are applied to the sensitive element - a linear thermal fire detector, due to overheating or a fire in any of the two zones, MIP2I automatically calculates the distance to the overheating point on the linear thermal fire detector and displays the resulting value in meters. The two zones operate independently of each other, and each zone has a separate alarm and normally conducted fault output. MIP2I is designed for installation between a linear thermal fire detector and an addressable or addressless fire alarm control panel. MIP2I has power, failure and alarm indicators that are responsible for each individual zone. MIP2I can also be connected to an automated production process control system using a two-wire RS-485 Modbus RTU output.
